What about this young couple lately where the dude is a doctor and he and his girlfriend have drugged and raped perhaps up to 100 women and taken thousands of videos...and the two of them aren't even that young, so they have been busy. Seems insane that two people, especially a man and a woman, could get together to do that and to that degree.
There are a LOT of naive people out there, in high school, in college and beyond. Don't dismiss it just because it sounds crazy. We will see if Avenatti has the facts. I say he does and will show his cards.

Yes it is plausible that she did not know her attacker and misidentified him as Kavanaugh, someone she also didn't know or was at most acquaintances with. Prosecutor Mitchell's report best shows all the other holes in her story.

We've seen lots of memory experts say that Dr. Ford would definitely remember her attacker. Can't you find even one expert who supports your mistaken identity theory?

One of the things they note on their website is that they are campaigning to stop Kavanaugh to protect Roe vs. Wade. If you go through their 990 form, they actually run a number of different activist organizations, with the head officers making between $101,000 - $151,000 per year and have retained assets in that one small operation of over half a million dollars on donations of about $650k a year. The Center for Popular Democacy that Ana helps run is much larger, taking in $15M a year with over $8M in assets and she made $178,701 in 2016 directing the Center for Popular Democracy and staging BS incidents like the one with Flake on the elevator. Pure and simple, this was pure theater, as staged as any Shakespearean play and the dems are eating it up as the gospel truth. Pathetic.

What's unique about Dr. Ford's case? I gave you examples of misidentifications even by victims of assault. The difference in Dr. Ford's case is supposed to be that she knew her attacker well. But that's circular logic and assumes her attacker was Kavanaugh and not someone mistaken as him, and it assumes she knew him well, which is disputable.

Not going to do her any good after Brett has spiked her drink, is holding his hand over her mouth, and has a wingman to help hold her down.
Be honest with yourselves: if Brett Kavanaugh was a democrat, nobody here would be defending him. We know democrats don't stand up for democrats accused of these things (see Al Franken for example), and Republicans will also go after a democrat accused of such things (see Al Franken for example). Now with the whole way he was downplaying (lying) about his drinking and the devil's triangle etc.... he's just not the right guy for the position.
I know it's an impossible thing to ask on these boards, but try and look at it without any political agenda. Remove yourself from your party. Or if you are unable, pretend Kavanaugh is a democrat and Ford is a Republican. If you can honestly say your position on this would not change, fine - but if you are able to be objective an honest, you know you wouldn't be defending this guy. If he was a democrat you would not want him on the Supreme Court.
This whole thing is an ugly mess and it can't be fixed. I doubt very much any of you before July of this year knew who Kavanaugh was or cared at all about him. What does it matter to you? It's only your political divide which is fuelling this ugliness. You pretty much want Kavanaugh because the democrats don't want him. It's a terrible reason for such an important lifetime appointment. You went over a year with an empty seat, there is no urgency. Just nominate someone new and get on with it. Leave Kavanaugh to his love of beer and falling asleep (not passing out).
