Alexander winning this race in a totally legit time against a stacked field with 3 of the guys sharpening up for the Games was like a freakin' breath of fresh air!
That was the absolute highlight of the meet!
mind blowing...
Injured every year at Oregon. Finally healthy for a year.

This was the "preview" edition.
Not a bad group of athletes and performances.
3 women under 2:00 in the 800.
Smokin hot Men's 1500. PR's abound.
Nice cash prizes for athletes, appearance fees, team bonus's for team win.
The "Series" starts next year, 2017.
And yet some people have to just bitchbitchbitch.
just watched it on ESPN. It was fun; would love to attend next year if possible.
At the inaugural meet of a series designed to bring Americans competing at a high level in front of US fans on a regular basis asking all the athletes to comment on why they enjoy the chance to run at an Americans only(mostly) meet on US soilseems to be good journalism from my seat.
There are a set of Americans on US soil records that could become a selling point and TT&ATL should look into adding them to the announcers arsenal.
When the great stadium announcer Scott Davis did a DL in NY the stadium audience heard about All Comers in North America, on US soil, US citizens on US soil and those categories for NYState, NYC, Randalls Island and at Icahn Stadium.
All that info was also available to the press too
.
After the meet I mentioned to Scott that he missed a subset because at one point Randalls was politically part of the Boro of Queens and qualified for the on Long Island subset that included the Goodwill Games in Uniondale records and recently it transferred to being part of the Boro of Manhattan to join the Wein Stadium MSG and Armory subset. His eyes twinkled he gave me his famous Scott Davis hug and his wry chuckle- Thanks I'll get on it right away. I don't know if Scott was the biggest T&F fan I ever met but he sure was the nicest person a man could ever know.

Yes. I plead guilty to being a fan of Yogi-isms. Glad someone caught it.
