Awesome race for Kastor, now i wish she would have went a little earlier! She was so strong the last three miles.

I disagree completely...this is EXACTLY why she was the bronze medal winner...otherwise, she would have been hanging on for fifth or sixth.
Nice NIKE ice-vest plug...eh?

Screw Kastor
Nice Job Kastor and F**k off all you Joe Vigil bashers

Same here...I thought the Japanese chick first, Radcliffe second, and Kastor third. I missed the one that I thought was closest to a guarantee...

That's her husband's responsibility.

2:27 in 90+ weather. Unfricken believable. Deena rocks. Thanks for all the updates guys! Stuck at job today. This thread is reason alon for letsrun to live on. I just watched the coolest marathon in a few years from a message board! This helps aleviate my webb-induced olympic depression. Deena, deena, deena!
Serious patience...man, what an effort.
Thanks Roger.

Where are those at Roger?
Stuck at work as well! Great race over the mesage boards. I second you--keep letsrun.com up and running--just get rid of all the negativity

I have to say I shed a tear when Paula dropped out. I really didn't think she would give up at any point but she looked totally spent when the Ethiopian passed her again. It was heartbreaking to see her sobbing by the roadside.
BUT, it was still an incredible race. Pleased the Japanese girl held on after having the guts to make the break. And an incredible and very intelligent run by Kastor - she was absolutley flying at the finish.
