They are executing the race Ryan Hall style - even splits, oblivious to what is going on around them. This cerebral, western approach will receive its ultimate validation after Farah and Rupp finish 1 and 2, not necessarily in that order. Going forward, the Africans will stop with all of this surging and racing the competition and learn to pay attention to the clock!

I think the lap was only about 70 but he started halfway through. He strung it out.

2:10.6 last 800. So if it really was 70 that was close to 60. Anyone get the split before that?
