Don't you need to be in the top four to advance and the next two fastest from all regional meets advance? Jerome & Big Walnut were 5 & 6 at Pickerington.
If I am not mistaken the data on athletic.net is submitted by the teams. I might be wrong. MileSplit gets data from the timing companies. There are no excuses for the clusterfck of data on that site.
If the next two fastest times are invited to Dayton
St. X was 7:50.48
Very windy in Dayton, rest of the meet was canceled due to storms. Made it to the Girls 100 prelims before being postponed. Friday will be timed finals.
Does anyone else think that MileSplit sucks? It's the worst for looking up Start lists, results, etc. You go to the OHSAA website and it redirects to MileSplit. There should just be a centralized place to find the information without having to jump trough a bunch of hoops.
athletic.net seems to be even worse for Ohio track. Some results for Ohio track aren’t even included in there
Why does MileSplit suck so bad? Why can’t they post all of the results from all of the regionals? From the OHSAA webpage, under results, a link to MileSplit is given. I mentioned this above but it’s really frustrating.
Back in the days when Baum’s Page was up to date, it was a good centralized location for all of the results. Does anyone have another source for statewide results that are all compiled in one centralized location?
Pickingerton 3200 was slowwwww at 1600. 4:47 or so. Not sure why Weston Day didn't just go to the front and run 8:59 or so like he did at Districts. Instead he hung back to his detriment. When the racing got hot with 600 to go, it was only 5 guys remaining (Gabelman, Smith, Richuitti, Day, and Saketh), and by 0.3 he didn't advance - thanks to a quick D4 region top 6 about 45 minutes later. Hard lesson to learn in your last HS race.

Mateo Medina of Elyria won the 100, 200, & 400 in the NW Regional. Times were 10.43, 20.96, & 46.05. He’s in the class of ‘24 and not committed anywhere from what I can tell. That’s hard to believe.

They closed like college kids in a championship race. Saketh and Gableman in 57 for the last 400, and the others (Richuitti, Smith, and Day) all at 58. Best HS race I've seen in while, esp considering many in the stands knew with the slow early pace only 4 were going to advance.
