What you say is true but you almost lost me from reading your entire post with your use of the trite and tired “woke.” It’s the most misused word in the English vocabulary because “this is woke, that is woke, anything anyone doesn’t like is woke.” The word has now lost its meaning.

This just confirms what I've believed all along, womens soccer is a joke that just happens to be flavour of the month currently. It'll soon be back to obscurity soon and the headlines will be back to the real stuff.

Everybody has been talking about the kiss. It was hardly standalone. That guy was overly aggressive throughout the ceremony. I was shocked at what I was seeing because it was so atypical. Normally I barely pay attention as each player walks up on the platform. This time I watched carefully throughout because of his smiley grabby overly sexual manner with every player. It seemed like just a matter of time before he went over the top.
And I was amazed that none of the commentators were focusing on it in the panel shows that followed.

Exactly why he is a great coach. Soccer is a team sport. A team of eleven playing together will beat a team of eleven superior athletes trying to beat you one on one. Say what you will about him, but Spain played well as a team. Individuals can be dangerous, but the most dangerous player on a soccer field is the player who is left unguarded. By moving the ball around and finding the open player, Spain was able to beat numerous teams with superior individual talent. Their final two goals were scored by the outside back. The problem with the US is they play too selfish. They need a coach like Vilda.

I believe there was also some video of him (the coach) grabbing a players boobie during the final match. That may have been the final straw.

In his defense, he never looked at what he was holding onto. For all he knew it was someone’s elbow or shoulder.
