The Japanese runner is not going to win, but good for her pushing the pace.

they've gone 75, 73, 71 so far, that's pretty fast
What time does 71s result in
29:45.
71 * 25 = 1775, 25s under 1800 seconds
30 minutes is 1800 seconds since 30 * 60 = 1800

They were 4:54 at 1600. 5;00 is 31:15 pace. so that's like 30:40 pace.
30:47
I love watching Gidey's stride and form. It's a thing of beauty.
though they just dropped a pair of 73s (30:25 pace), it's not gonna be straight 71s if you didn't already know that
don’t listen to me i’m dumb as hell
The BBC commentary with the NBC feed on my TV is the best combo.
Morning/early afternoon finals are the worst. Get them under the floodlights or at sunset to provide the atmosphere that these events deserve.
Amazing the BBC is also able to show the hammer throw final while focusing mainly on the 10000m final. Too complex for NBC to figure out.
My money is on Gidey. She impresses the hell out of me, and I don't impress easily.
Just talked to Devon Allen. He said he did know about his father's death at USAs. Family told himi Saturday morning and was able to block it all out.

don't listen to me either. 25 seconds under 30 is 29:35, not 29:45. though again, they're not running 71s so this isn't that relevant.

Anyone got a closeup of Hassan? How does she look? There's too much glare on the tv screen to see.
