Cavorty, with your impressive 8x800 I find your 19.45 estimate as a very conservative one. I would guess you are ready for 19.30, provided the weather and track are OK and you do the tampering right. Best of luck!
KPdx, a perfect result if you more focus on 800 m, especially with hills and sharp turns. Take the total climb, multiply by 2 and get the virtual extra distance you ran. Converted to time, perhaps it would result in half a minute less.
Igy, good luck with 800 m, sounds like a brave move! Usually the preferable distance drifts with the age and, e.g., as for me, I am really even afraid of intervals less than 1K.
Amkelley, sad to hear that your problems are still there. My best wishes for a recovery. By the way, with regard to the hip issue, haven’t you tried an elliptical (as an intermediate between jogging and bike trainer)?
My week was not impressive as usual, but I finally reached the 40 mpw “bar” for the first time this year, as well as ran 10 miles this morning since spring 2020.
Nice week to all!
