Greetings, fellow 50+ers! The first week of spring turned out to be a good one with a total of 22.4 miles of actual running for this olde farte. I was able to do a "long" run on Monday and then went b2b on Wed/Thu with a shortish run on Thursday morning before I got my second covid shot. I snuck in that Thursday run as I figured I might need a day or two off, if I got whacked with the side effects so many others have experienced. The good news is that I experienced no side effects other than some soreness at the injection point, though the bride was down and out for a day or so. I still took two days off, however, as my legs were quite tired after running 3 of 4 days. They felt a lot better today as I wrapped up the week.
And I am pleased to report that the hammy continues to improve and is nearly back to 100%. Last week I reintroduced some exercises that I had temporarily set aside, and this week I continued to add reps with no ill effects. Life is good!
Best wishes for a speedy and full recovery for our walking wounded. There but for the grace of God...
