This thread was deleted by a volunteer moderator. I certainly don't want a thread this big deleted so I've restored. THat being said, this thread has served it's purpose. I've closed it to new posts.
We have a new 2024 vaccine thread here. New people don't need to try to wade through 20,000 posts to figure out what is going on.
Our discussion on the CDC isolation guidelines was promptly dropped by you when it was clear that we agreed.
All you wanna do is troll and be contrarian. And lose money gambling.
Try as they might, their only talking point is
“Vaccines bad because tennis”
Yet you have absolutely zero to add to enhance the discussion other than you got the latest boost. Your only talking point is “tennis bad because vaccine.”
There’s no discussion. You abide by the guidelines to the tee ans you always have and I think these latest guidelines are disingenuous, like you. If you don’t want to currently spread Covid, then you will stay home longer than 24 hours after a fever breaks, especially with other symptomatology. A reduced nasopharyngeal viral load is not even close to a noninfectious viral load.
But, I do agree that it’s less of a risk because of increased exposure to Covid among society.
Now, if you could just admit that your once-upon-a-time trolling job with regard to Djokovic and long Covid was just that and a job that got carried away, then people could forgive you and let it go. But you can’t walk it back and you can’t let it go. You are the problem. Djokovic is not.
Ok, feel free to stay at home longer. There's plenty of evidence that, once symptoms are on the downswing, risk of infection drops a ton. Obviously it's non-zero but it's close to the risk we tolerate for the flu and other respiratory viruses.
I don't abide by every guideline perfectly. I make informed decision from the data.
The vast majority of people have immunity from COVID primarily from vaccines. That's what ended the dominant risk of COVID in the US. To argue otherwise, especially relying on Omicron infections – which are known to be poorly immunogenic – is incorrect.
Chokervic's long-COVID downfall is my opinion. You are free to disagree. It's amusing you cannot stand that I think differently, but hey, I will argue with you until you leave, just like countless others. Enjoy.
Omicron didn’t have to confer perfect immunity in order to end the pandemic. It conferred a high enough immunity level to enough people in a short period of time to end the pandemic.
Only fools argue that Omicron didn’t end the pandemic.
Sometime before his recent embarrassing losses. I don't remember exactly when. I don't really care. You clearly strongly disagree with my diagnosis, even thought recent evidence supports it. I hope he can rally back from long-COVID.
Nobody cares about your diagnosis. Nobody really even cares about Djokovic. What they care about is your insatiable ego and need to be right, while telling everyone else to stop being sanctimonious. All you had to do was just stop discussing this, but, now, that’s not good enough anymore. Now you have to admit that it’s a dumb, spurious correlation and that you were just trolling and acting like a general jackwad, but you regret it. But, you are incapable of remorse, so everyone’s just going to keep pounding you. Because you asked for it and you don’t know how to say, “I’m wrong or I’m sorry.”
As soon as he wins some really big matches, and he will, you will be back here saying now “I diagnose that he’s recovered from long Covid,” continuing the charade. So he had one bad slam, which was long Covid, but now he’s recovered. You wonder why nobody takes you seriously on anything? Comical. You are a blight to people who actually are suffering from long Covid.
I just want to hear more stories about Harambro’s life as a pro tennis player.
No wonder you wanna talk about tennis. You don’t want to talk about the worldwide vaccine study of 100 million people. 200 million doses.
Side effects rare.
7 had brain inflammation. out of 180 millions does.
also, every scientist (real scientist not dumb$$ “u so mad” alter-ego can’t even read it report let alone interpreted) acknowledged these.
Here’s the real story, you dip wads lost. You lost facts, you lost numbers, you cost lives, all you have is your little anecdotes. Do you keep repeating over and over again.
So keep talking about the one or two people, it just shows how unserious your arguments ever were.
These guys cannot fathom that someone might think differently about their hero Chokervic.
They are beside themselves that I have hard evidence that he is playing worse – likely due to long COVID (see: his recent embarrassing loss).
They're like the kids arguing breathlessly at school right after their team loses. Desperately trying to save face. Not the time to do it! You just look pathetic!
Perfect. You have hard evidence. Go!
He hasn't won since I diagnosed him. For someone that used to win a lot. That's a big change.

Well, I'll never do that because I know I'm right. Not sure why you think you could possible win a battle of wills against me. I have like 14,000 posts. You will quit before I do and I will win. Chokervic will fall.

It filled in a few gaps (antivaxxers) the vaccines had not covered. It was a blip in the immunological landscape compared to the vaccines.
Going from 20-99.5 is more important than going from 99.5-99.7.

It ended the pandemic. The vaccine had been out for more than a year. Omicron ended it mere months.
Vaxtards think that widespread immunity needs to be 100% in order to be effective. It doesn’t.

Exactly my point. It was already over. 95+ % seropositivity. Omicron pushed it to 98 or so but it was already over.
Excellent reasoning
The vaccine had been ineffective in ending the pandemic. Omicron put a quick end to it.
IFR was way down already thanks to the vaccine (except among antivaxxers). The only people who “benefitted” from omicron were antivaxxers (as long as they didn’t die or get hospitalized or long term damage).
Denying vaccine efficacy just makes you guys look dogmatic. Makes life easy for me.
