Nobody is asking for his life to be ruined. He should just be fired. I will not feel sorry for the guy who gets fired for molesting college students.

He goes around touching the butts of women on his team. That is the definition of harassment and molestation. You must be friends with Nassar, Epstein, and Sandusky.

Yes and for some crazy reason you seem to think it's perfectly acceptable to any and every college coach to touch college women in their butts with sticks and body parts.

What is the difference between him hitting an athlete in the butt with a stick or in the breast with a stick? What's the difference between his foot and his elbow?

I pray to god that you aren't a coach and that you have a profession that keeps you FAR away from children.

The hyperbole isn't really necessary. No one involved in the situation seems to be accusing the guy of molestation, but you don't have to be a molester to be worthy of firing. It sounds like the guy is making lots of women on the team uncomfortable. That isn't good for the performance, culture, and atmosphere of the team. The guy should be replaced by someone who doesn't create these issues.

He shouldn't be fired over hyperbolic accusations. He should just be fired because he isn't the best person for the job.

If keeping a coach who admittedly touches athletes inappropriately and makes comments about their looks from coaching again I think most people are fine with it. Being a college athletics coach is the definition of a frivolous job and to have the privilege of holding a position like that is to be held to a higher standard than people in a more standard profession.

Also, if you think his life is ruined because he can no longer be a running coach I think you need to re evaluate what life is

What he did is literally the definition of molestation. Only an imbecile would deny that.

Yeah getting fired is not having your life ruined. The school has an obligation to protect these women.

Most AD's tell their male coaches who deal with girls what their standards are, on a yearly basis. Some schools require it. Other AD's just wants to make clear this material for his own sake and have a record of it.

So did the Leigh AD ever cover this ground? If he did it's twice as stupid as he may have been told not to make this blunder.

I have a feeling this isn't the last we hear of this

If he was smart, he would have resigned much earlier in the summer (since he emailed the team his apology on July 1). Since this issue has escalated, it has hurt his reputation and the school's repuation.

If he had resigned, it would have all brushed over and he'd be able to get another college job and a fresh start. If he is forced out now, it's over for his coaching career.
