Let’s take a look at Derek Murphy.
He is a financial analyst,
Is he accurate?
Does he talk his book?
Maybe it’s time to shine a light on this accusatory man.

Ummm I know this because of Derek's statement on his website:
And did you believe Frank's statements about not cheating? And did you care about his offer to run along with him the next time? I'll go out on a limb and say you chose to not believe anything from Frank. But anything Murphy says is the word of God.

Are you kidding me?
I believe photographic evidence, locations of cameras, bib numbers, splits of those bib numbers.
Yes I did not believe anything from Frank because his denials totally contradicted photographic and video evidence.
Derek barely even did much of the investigating. It was crowd sourced then posted on his site as a one stop shop in a more professional manner.
So to answer your question I believe in the evidence.
My last post.

Leave. You should have long before you implicated yourself on the Meza thread.

They are sexists, racists, and despicable people who turned a love of running into r/thedonald.
Someone is likely going to do some MI-style investigation into MI (how many skeletons are in your closet Derek?), and LRC (Wejo seems to be in the clear, as well as Malmo. Rojo has a lot to worry about.).
Thanks for making it clear why there's an inexplicable storm over this.
You and the media see a chance to get some payback on 'sexists, racists, and despicable people.'
God, you're gross...you'd fit right in in one of Stalin's purges...I'll let you figure out which side you'd be on.
It's really as simple as that...just a chance for payback. Just leftists spring boarding off the death of a useful Brown person, making political hay.
Why do you hate free speech?
+1000. The faux rage of the weirdos arriving on LRC to threaten the site and other posters is vile.

No worries dude. Just ignore those morans. I thought your questions on the meza thread were reasonable and added value.

The Frank Mesa saga, as far as Letsrun's role in it, has been reduced to a handful of people doubling down on the declaration that Frank Mesa brought this on to himself. The input from people who had been most active up until yesterday, however, are eerily absent. I think they are just coming to the realization that predicting that a story is going to go viral, and being the main vehicles that caused this story to go viral, are two very different things. Anyone who has followed this story from page one as I have can easily recognize that there was a small group, maybe five disconnected individuals, who were steering this ship and simply refused to let it sink. This even after some insightful posters recommended that it would be wise to do so. Its kind of ironic that the MO of one of these guys was to write in an ominous "Deer Frankie" fashion, and repeatedly stated "I bet you are hoping this just goes away" and such. Well, I'm willing to bet that at present he is the one hoping for the same thing. They are probably wondering just how permanent of a paper trail of their efforts was left out there. What questionable lines they might have crossed. And, they are also just realizing just how prominent of a PERSON outside of cheating, a REAL LIFE PERSON, this guy was. This should not play a factor, and does not make his cheating any more acceptable. But what can I say, life is cruel, and unfair, and this leads to downright tragic results at times
This guy was absolutely loved and revered for the life's worth of work he did. Some of his admirers will react with emotion. Some are gonna be overly-zealous. Some will inevitably ask where this wild-fire started and not back down until they get answers. Sound familiar? And who knows, maybe ABC news will find that investigating the story's origin is click-generating. The irony goes on and on.
Seriously???? Where did this all start???? With meza cheating of course. There's your origin, nothing simpler than that.
I can't tell if this was a serious post or if I just got trolled ....
Whatever happened to Mike Whalen of the article in The Runner mag complete with quotes from some of his fellow runners including HS teammates? Did some cheatin of his own a long time ago. Master at it.

Please read first sentence of my original post.
Anyways, something tells me that certain major players in this story, at least those that have been high fiving for months but have suddenly fallen silent, are not taking as simple of an approach as you are. I think they are scrambling for a defense that goes beyond "I did it to honor Ed Whitlock's ghost" or " I was only protecting the integrity of our sport." I think they are shitting bricks at the moment. Im not saying its fair or warranted. Witch hunts hardly are. the roles, however, just might soon be reversed and thy name is karma.

Eloquent but not a terrific method for explaining your opinion.

This site chases hits, no matter the cost.
This is a site on focused on a competitive level and professional running, it always seemed weird that it took such glee in outing hobby jogging age groupers who were doing no real harm, unless you counted a few people losing out on $40 gift card.
Well the damage done is real and sometimes can't be undone.
The ethical standard on the forum has been too low for way too long, with nothing offered but excuses.
Even today rojo himself dug up an obvios race baiting thread out of the trash. No shame.
And it seemed a bit off-putting they clearly tried to excuse themselves from any responsibility by clearly trying to subtly imply the entire blame was on tv shows etc Even your own mod was telling you it was time to shut the thread down.
They also remind people that they are talking about real people in the forums...yet they are the one that repeatedly making and allowing damaging comments about teenage athletes weight and performance etc. All for the hits. Those are doing real damage as well.
Individually these thing seem small, but they add up to a site that is unredeemable and one I can't frequent with good conscious anymore. I encourage you to ask yourself if you really want to encourage the continued existence of this site and this behavior by continuing to frequent it.
Enjoy the cess pit people. The damage is real.
Only a narcissistic twat would post his/her goodbye on the forum they claim they can't be a part of anymore. Probably still checks back to see the replies too.

You're getting your analogy wrong.
A witch hunt is when someone is wrongly accused, and the mob mentality makes clearing your name impossible.
That's not the case here.
Really dont see how posting facts and evidence about 70 year old FM is worse than the ridiculous comments we see aimed towards pubescent female runners in this site. Anyway, after being banned multiple times for actually discussing running, i couldn't care less what happens to the owners of this dump. Your all poopy heads in your own unique ways.
How long until the Brojos are in cuffs?
