Doubler didn't claim to stop this cheater, but he did a little more investigating on other races.

This story has made it mainstream. SI Extra Mustard coverage. I love this segment of SI.com and got a pretty good chuckle seeing this ATY shenanigans show up.

Kelly also took advantage of race directors. He chummed up to them, came out to races early to build friendships, and because he had a major sponsor, many of the race directors were asked either the sponsor or Kelly to give him a free entry into races, most that cost a couple hundred dollars. So many times he got in free, and also took with him the expensive or hand-made trophies to display in his home. Then he wrote fictitious race reports about his effort and suffering during his "win." Kelly should have done his own runs and created a charity.

It really depends on your end goal. The "charity" runners are a different ilk than the "marathon cheats" who want actual recorded times to either BQ or otherwise have bragging rights etc. Kelly couldn't have followed the "charity runner" MO as he needed recorded times. However, I think he could now transition nicely into a "charity" runner and rely on the fact that people who give money to these "charity" runners either do not know how to use Google or are exceedingly stupid and lazy.

Vegetarian? I doubt that. I deleted him off facebook about a month ago for ticking "love" on a photo of a slaughtered deer covered in blood and a gloating hunter.

Agnew is different because he was running many races per year. Will RD's ban him? Would they need to? I can't see him showing up to any races after this shitstorm. I can't see any runners talking to him, not even is "friends." I wonder how many he has left. I'll bet he disappears like the rest of them.

Robert Young did a few ultras. That dodgy multi stage Trans Con that he claimed he won , despite appearing at every checkpoint before the marshals. Pretty obvious that race was a warm up for his cheated record attempt there.

I also saw him at a Centurion 100 miler, he was about 24 hours. Not bad but nothing special at all.

He was another that liked to chum up to race directors.

I remember Lindley Chambers of Challenge Running gave Rob free race entries. Lindley seems to have forgotten about that now, and is now supporting scammer Ben Rogers.

She sued LR a few years ago. The Brojos were asking on here for volunteer legal help. Ever since then you can't mention her name.

It would be neat if someone could interview Kelly Agnew for a length Outside, Rolling Stone or GQ feature article.
