I think this needs more attention. I also want to know more about the leak. There was an odd series of stories and now this.

Of course the sport can handle the truth. The more scum that get busted, and the huger the nest of vipers that get cleaned out, the better.

There are plenty of up-and-coming young kids who want to participate, and could then do so with confidence of a very level playing field. Spectators will enjoy watching performances that are clean. A record will be a record, not some chemically-enhanced farce.

Obviously, the World Champs should only contain competitors from Australia, New Zealand, and Easter Island, giving a 90% certainty of clean performance.

The major problem with cheaters is how to get the money back. Appearance fees for someone like Farah are exorbitant. So damn high that it encourages cheating. Farah has made so much money that he can afford to pay people to help him hide it--offshore, carefully hidden, bank accounts, foreign money certificates, property ownings, and business ownings. That money --Farah's "earnings"-- is likely gone forever.

What is odd about widespread corruption at the IAAF?

The latest round of stories come from Russia. Head of Russian athletics was the FORMER iaaf treasurer. I think someone doesn't want to bear the brunt of the last corruption story.

If other stories are true, Reedie is letting Russia continue on as if there were no governance problems. Now we know they are very serious.

Coe has problems. Interested to see if you the IOC itself is finally implicated. Verbruggen, Blatter, Diack are your average IOC official.
