What a finish. Meb pulled back even with Kipsang and then they duked it out the final quarter. Kipsang opened a slight gap, Meb pulled back even.
With like 30 meters to go, Kipsang surged again and it seemed to be over.
Maybe like a 3 foot gap on Meb. With 15 meters to go, Meb made one last push. He closed a little but there wasn't enough space left. MEe was like half a body behind. Then 2 steps before the finish Kipsang's leg just gave out on him and he buckled losing his stride. Meb was right there and they both dove across the finish line. It was clear Meb won by the smallest of margins. They just both lay there on the finish wrappted in the finishing string which was a white piece of string.

2:04:15 for Meb is a great time. We knew this was possible as Ryan ran 1:02 and change the second half of this course in 2007 with lesser competition.
