I just check wikipedia and I don't see anything about a marthon. But what I do see in Wikipedia is that Dana Carvey was born in 1955. So he was 17 in 1972. It does not seem likely that a 17 year old ran a 3:04 marathon.

I ran a similar marathon time at age 17, and got beat out in the youth category by a 15 year-old running 2:46.

Carvey is interviewed in one of the 'Fire on the Track' DVD bonus interviews. Said his HS best was 9:45 for the 2-mile. His marathon time is definitely believable.

Yes, and probably anyone under 2:06:30 for the same reasons. Also, I know there was a guy juggling at Boston a few years ago because he passed me at the end. Must have run a 2:40 something. Any have the juggling WR to add?
