Nauman was fastest sophomore Iowa 3200 runner in history. Almost certain that Decker will surpass him. Heidesch was fastest junior 1600. Almost certain that Ten Pas will surpass him. If those 2 progress at the same rate as their predecessors, they will end up ad the fastest ever. And don't count Nauman out. I assume that he will run 8:50 by the end of the day.
Unfortunately only went 9:23 quite a bit behind top 5 Iowa times this his year so far. That’s roughly a 9:19 3200
Top 3 biggest lies of all time. That would place him in the top 5, and he had already fallen off the lead pack after 800m, and they ran 8:41. So theoretically he should have been within 100m of them, and wasn't even close.
Where do we find a list of sanctioned meets? How does one go about getting a meet sanctioned? Kids have qualified at out of state meets.
I have never seen a time from one of these big out of state indoor meets (Nike, Adidas, Brooks, Fayetteville, NW Missouri) entered in Bound… only meets where the team competes and runners wear their school uniforms (SDSU for example).
Gilbert’s Bleich ran a few races, but nothing on Tallman yet
I think Jacob Tallman plays soccer instead. He can do what he likes, but from my perspective I hope he’s awfully good at soccer or it seems like something of a waste. Even if he’s more suited to XC than track, the track season could elevate him from 15:30 guy to state champ contender and coveted college prospect.

Gotcha. I didn’t know he played soccer. I just found out now, that he had no track results from last year either. Yeah it’s up to him whether he wants to do track or soccer. He did really well in XC last fall. I think that summer running is more important to prepare for XC. NXN isn’t out of reach for Gilbert
He is focused on breaking 29:00 and possibly HS 10,000 record in June.
He will be in 1600 at drake, won’t be an issue. He’s never focused his training on 1600 or down. To me He’s 5k/10k guy in college where Naumen/tenpas will be 800/1600 guys
