He ran 12.9/12.9 for the last 100m splits in an 800m. It’s really not so crazy. We are just basing off of underwhelming last 100s from Bryce (13.5) and really rough from Pattison (14.0)
I mean obvious is strong, but his story is strange and we can leave it at that. He himself is an odd guy, but credit to him not giving up despite making 5-6 tactical errors in the last 800 of that race.
Well, he acknowledged these errors, for what it’s worth. The question now is if he will be a threat to Jakob in both the 1500 and 5000m in Euros (starting on Friday)..?

If you are talking about Wightman...He is not racing the European Championships.
Don't forget how many of these guys are jet-lagged and rarely run pr's right off the plane in Europe after going through many time zones. The second or third race in Europe should be a good one, though.
Probably never - they have the travelling team doctor to monitor that. Contact in Stockholm just sent me a pic of him doing a post race workout on the warmup track. Running 1.43.3 is no biggie huh.
I’m so annoyed that the BBC didn’t start showing this until 5pm our time - missed the W 800m. Great. Well done BBC.
Not as annoying as missing Chebet last week, surely?
The BBC broadcasts the two hour DL package. I'd imagine that to show other pre-DL events requires negotiation with the local rights holder. It's understandable that they can't be arsed, given they're already having to chop/change their regular schedule to accommodate DL meetings that take place on random days/times.
Post-race interaction by Sedjati is oddly reminiscent of Genzebe Dibaba. He didn't congratulate anyone post race, and neither did his opponents rush to offer him congray. Girma put on a workshop and shook hands with everyone he could find. Sedjati, no...he went to his coaches and inner circle.

I don’t understand then why the women’s 800m was a pre-DL event. That the rest of the world managed to watch but we couldn’t here in the UK. I just want to be able to watch the whole thing. That shouldn’t be too much to ask.

Was it shown anywhere? YouTube world feed started after it and I'm guessing Peacock did too
