Every interview with Coleman until the end of time should be a out him skipping tests so he isn't caught and being on the sauce. Why would any decent journalist drop it?
Travis Kelce got suspended for a year for using drugs in college. No one is asking him about that after winning the Super Bowl.
If Shelby comes back and wins Olympic gold, rojo isn't asking her if she is still on drugs.
You can bet your ass I'll ask her a drugs question if I"m given the opportunity.
But, I won't keep asking it 5 years later and no one asked Christain if he was on drugs here either.
Weldon - not me - talked to Christian at Millrose about his training after during and after the suspension.
Basically he was trying to help Christain out and let him come up with a good reason to give fans a reason to believe he might be able to get back to his old form.
The reality is he was a better runner before he missed 3 drug tests. Since he came back, he hasn't been as good.
As for Kelce, he was suspended for a year for marijuana. What does that have to do with football? Why in the world would anyone ask about that. As for Gjert, one could argue his personal life also has nothing to do with track but I'll explain here what I explained in another thread.
We were doing a private one on one interview with Gjert. Before we started filming we asked if we could ask about the family stuff and he said no. Gjert was doing the opposite of what many big players in the sport do and openly agreeing to speak to the press when there was zero obligation or expectation to do so.
If Coleman wants to grant Letsrun an exclusive one on one interview and tells us a pre-condition of it is not to ask about his whereabouts failure, we'd be happy to do it, but we didn't ask about it in a negative way. He asked about it from a performance standpoint.

Is there a reason why nobody can question whether St.Pierre is clean? Is this a new rule that speculation is no longer permitted? Is she too good a story for this to be allowed?
This is so embarrassing for Lets Run. It is embarrassing that Rojo becomes defensive and acts like he is a righteous journalist just doing his job, and this is just Coleman's problem. Imagine all the other journalists around him and watching this spectacle. I hope someone professionally helps Rojo, or we will miss out on good, in depth reporting.
I was doing my job. I didn't become defensive. He said he wasn't going to talk if I was there and I told him I wasn't moving. Why would I? If he wants to boycott the mixed zone, go ahead. I'm going to stay there and interview people. I'd had zero interaction with Coleman in recent months and zero here. All I did was turn on my camera. He was judging me for the actions of my brother.
As for the other journalists, one of the very best ones told me he was going to refuse to interview Coleman as a sign of solidarity. I told him - don't do that. Feel free to do the interview and he went farther down and did it and then sent it to me.
As a courtesy to Coleman, I then approached a USATF staffer that I wouldn't ask Coleman any questions for the rest of the meet just so we wouldn't be a distraction.

He probably thought you were him, you both have that gawd awful, confused looking, punchable white boy face.

It’d be one thing if you treat all athletes who violated the rules like you do Coleman, but you don’t.
Certain athletes like Shelby get special treatment, and then you go out of your way to harass Coleman and other black athletes. This is a very real problem that you have.
”He said he wasn’t going to talk if I was there and I told him I wasn’t moving.”
You think that’s a good thing? It’s not. You ruined the interviews for all the other journalists just so you could feel special. He served his suspension and has already been asked about it.
Asking him about it time and time again doesn’t serve any purpose and is NOT good journalism.
Again remember what kind of website you represent here

As for Kelce, he was suspended for a year for marijuana. What does that have to do with football? Why in the world would anyone ask about that. Because those are the rules
As for Gjert, one could argue his personal life also has nothing to do with track but I'll explain here what I explained in another thread. What? His personal life has to do with Jakob and Jakob is a runner
We were doing a private one on one interview with Gjert. Before we started filming we asked if we could ask about the family stuff and he said no. You don't extend that grace to certain black athletes, so why do so with Coleman?
Gjert was doing the opposite of what many big players in the sport do and openly agreeing to speak to the press when there was zero obligation or expectation to do so. (1) This is Wejo copypasta (2) PLENTY of athletes talk to the press all the time. WTF are you talking about
That wasn’t Gault. That was Rojo. Keep it up guys. Love em or hate em, they are our BOOTS (and not bootlickers), on the ground!
Amazing slogan. I need a graphic designer to make a shirt
"Boots on the ground, not bootlickers."
PS. We all know who the boot lickers are.
Let's see. You never talk about sprinters, you routinely host racist content (BBC, Baltimore, etc.) for days and never moderate it, and you defend Shelby to no end while simultaneously calling into question the validity of athletes like Coleman or Richardson and yet you wonder why they don't want to talk to you and don't respect you.
