And what's your excuse for why he ran 1:48 and finished 19th in the prelims in the 2016 trials? The dude just had a bad race like he did then, to which he admitted, and choked again. It's mental, has nothing to do with his foot.
I don't need an excuse for why he ran 1.48 in the 2016 trials.
How about the facts - it was his first major event as a professional after signing a big deal with Nike? There is no leeway for the kid to learn.
This is a now a general statement as the starter of this thread. The criticism and conjecture of Brazier with respect to "he choked" is honestly so mind-numbingly sad and pathetic I can not even believe it. All you f----ing proud American track fans railing on this dude when he did about the most heroic and patriotic thing he could do - go out and give his best, ultimately for his country, despite being severely compromised health wise.
You are the same group of scumbags that if he had taken the other option (probably better for his career long-term because who knows how bad this is) and scratched from the meet would be railing him for that ("drugs", "scared"... whatever).
I thought that the vast majority of responses would be "oh yeah that makes sense" and instead there are absolute a$$holes like you and a bunch of other utter flameouts giving your two cents on his mental fortitude. Just remember this guy went to the press conference devastated and never mentioned this.
Honestly you guys are beyond sad and pathetic. This isn't even message board talk - you are pathetic human beings. The jealousy and borderline hate you must harbor for the kid to be paying him out in his worst moment as a pro is honestly the most tragic thing of all.
