What if she (and others before her) are telling the truth?
Can’t the testing system distinguish between drugs taken by athletes versus drugs that were given to animals, then those same animals being eaten by an athlete?
I have trouble understanding why the antidoping agencies should have let the tainted meat excuse pass in the past or at least reduced bans and now be far more severe. The most plausible explanation is that the case is much clearer than presented by btc.

Guilty. Sometime post Rio she started using, probably 2018. If you want to be on the top of the world stage in running there aren’t any easy choices. It is just that dirty.

The careful wording about a burrito from a food truck that serves pig organs... never actually saying that Shelby *ate* pig organs is also fishy... 14:23 is fishy as hell, too.

I don't think some of you have read all the information out there. She was handled differently than others who made the food claims because it was a different organization handling her case. She's screwed for this Olympics, but I think she'll be running at worlds next year because I think this will get thrown out after legal proceedings.
One thing I've noticed is many people are speaking up in her defense, putting their own reputations on the line. That is not usually the case when someone goes down.

If you are an Olympian, then you are a drug cheat. There really is no path to the Olympics in the year 2021 that does not go through the local or not so local pharmacist's office.

I caught this too. I think Shalane may have said she ate it, but the other folks were pretty careful to say the truck "served" ofal. It maybe the difference between who officially represents Shelby under WADA rules.

Pretty much, there's a stark difference between how LRC is handling this case and how they handled the NOP report that came out in 2015. They're doing their best to protect Schumacher's name as rojo has always given BTC a pass for a lot of stuff.
