Devil's triangle - I, like most everybody else on these boards, had never heard of Devil's Triangle. For all I know, it very well could have been a drinking game played by 3 people. I don't know because I never really played drinking games and I wasn't a party to their inside slang in 1982. Considering that the definition has been constantly modified over the past few days, I don't think you can definitively say what it means. I am pretty certain it could have meant anything back in 1982 for a small group of people (there was not a source of universal slang back in 1982 because there was no internet). Even the definition that is out there right now sounds like something a 13 year old made up that people are quoting as fact.
Except that there are exactly zero references to the "devil's triangle" drinking game in searchable text in the world, but numerous that pre-date the Kavanaugh hearing. What's more plausible? The wikipedia article edited by a congressional staffer desperate to create a reality where one doesn't exist doesn't count
Doesn't help when "Devil's Triangle" refers to quite literally the act Kavanaugh was accused of.
But it's probably a drinking game.
Beach Week Ralph club - He has already said it referred to him throwing up. He said it was from a sensitive stomach. I guess you will have to talk to the editor of the yearbook about what that referred to.
Zero people in the history of the world believe "ralph club" refers to people who threw up on the Maryland eastern shore from eating too many crabs with Old Bay. Not even you.
Likewise, no one else would GAF if Kav threw up from drinking a lot if he didn't lie, badly, about it.
He probably does have respect for Renate. It is wrong to go through someone's high school yearbook. It just reeks of how desperate the Democrats are that they would go through someone's past to this extent. Interviewing him for more hours than all of the current justices on the court combined.
Yeah, sure. That's why there are other references in the yearbook which distinctly imply she was an easy lay. “You need a date / and it’s getting late / so don’t hesitate / to call Renate.”
But Kav was the most honorable fo his friends, referring to her as an alumnus of... him... because he respects her. Good grief, I cannot believe anyone would actually believe this line with an ounce of self-respect for their own intellect.
