To be clear, the Constitution has no problem with President Trump's running again in 2028. The Constitution only forbids his being *elected* a third time. But certainly he could run.
Anyway, if he is able to handle the full four years and a Dem wins in 2028, I would expect President Trump to resign just before the end of his term, giving JD Vance a few days or weeks to be POTUS and do the vital work of pardoning President Trump for all federal crimes.
See, it's not at all clear that a POTUS can pardon him-/herself. Even the current SCOTUS might nix that. So President Trump would need a pardon from another president.
That is correct. But a president can not pardon for state crimes. A governor or state pardon board can only pardon for those crimes. Also - not sure on this - Ivy guy might know... but a president can not pardon one who has been impeached. But not sure how Trump's 2 acquittals would figure into that. I guess they would negate his 2 impeachments.
Also, a president can serve up to 10 years.
Impeachment and conviction are separate. The House impeaches the Senate convicts. Acquittals don't negate impeachment. He will forever be twice impeached. Just not convicted.
You're misreading the constitution. The presidential pardon power does not extend to impeachment cases. The president may however pardon someone that's been impeached for other crimes unrelated to impeachment.

What did Trump do during his first term? Everything is always blamed on the Democrats or the Governors of the individual states. He isn't ever responsible for anything. To listed to you Trumpers, Trump did absolutely nothing of note during his first term.
No wars began under Trump. Other countries feared what he’d do - too unpredictable and a free thinker. Nobody feared Biden - look at what’s happening in the Middle East and Ukraine
I do have a question about the statement No wars began under Trump. Do you think that absolves him from responsibility for the wars that continued throughout his first term?
He inherited two major wars (the fight against ISIS and Afghanistan). The former, he ended with a victory. The latter, he successfully wound-down the troops to a minimal number while keeping it stable and then negotiated an exit plan with the Taliban. While also avoiding the wars neocons pushed him to start (Syria and Iran). He did a great job IMO.

You do understand that that's the job, correct? Every president inherits problems, it's their job to deal with them. I don't understand why, you think wars not starting under him, but continuing under him, makes him somehow not responsible for those wars.
Like I said before Covid didn't begin under Biden, is he somehow absolved from dealing with it. No, he had to deal with it. He was responsible for it during his time in office.
Question for Trump supporters here. Is Trump capable of disappointing you? I mean if he doesn't live up to he promises will you call him out?
Looking for an answer that doesn't include a deflection to Biden or another version of "He won get over it". I understand he won.
What do you expect him to do?
I expect Trump to close the damn border and mass deport illegal aliens. I expect him to "drill baby drill" too. I expect lower energy costs, hostages released from Afghanistan and get a ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia.
No matter what, Trump will trigger the libs for the next 4 years.

What do you expect him to do?
I expect Trump to cut taxes, reduce the migrant crisis, promote America-first and MAGA policies, reduce affirmative action and also wokeness, appoint good justices, and trigger liberals. If he accomplished none I’d be disappointed
Over the next few days and weeks, one thing that is as sure as the sunrise is that political leaders, such as California Gov. Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles M...

Trumps Ukraine envoy now says he “hopes” to stop the Ukraine war within 100 days.
Trump said many times he was ending it in 24 hours if you voted for him. He even promised to end it before he took office. He even said he was 100% sure of it. “Very easy”. “ One phone call”.
Then Trumpers came to this message board to repeat Trumps lies and try to claim Trump was a brilliant geopolitical strategist. Any that don’t vote for Trump
We laughed at the idiocy and gullibility of the cult. And now here we are.
But at least the grocery prices will be plummeting from drill baby drill
“As Trump & his subordinates continue to walk back & renige on one campaign promise after another, MAGA can take comfort in knowing that Trump didn’t mean any of it & was only saying that sh!t to win the election so he can stay out of prison & further enrich himself & his friends.”
Watched the NFL games on tv today. Couldn’t help but think how many Trumptards were out in the stands 🤣 🤣 not the best OR the brightest tools in the shed out there!!
CNN's Jake Tapper called out President Biden on Sunday for his claim that Vice President Kamala Harris could have beat President-elect Donald Trump, despite her loss.

What you don't understand is that he is at least trying to end the war. As opposed to the other side who prolonged it and wanted to continue to prolong it as long as possible. That is the important difference as I wrote about before the election and that continues to be true.
Why don't they count? Because they prove you wrong?
You never answered, why do you support military action in Panama and Greenland?
Where did I say I support military action anywhere, let alone Greenland or Panama? this is why you don’t deserve answers, your questions are rooted in fantasy. we are maga, we don’t need to use military action to get our way, we have Trump. The Art of the Deal. The goat. Greenland would be a fool not to take the Olive Branch. maga a global phenomenon.
