To be clear, the Constitution has no problem with President Trump's running again in 2028. The Constitution only forbids his being *elected* a third time. But certainly he could run.
Anyway, if he is able to handle the full four years and a Dem wins in 2028, I would expect President Trump to resign just before the end of his term, giving JD Vance a few days or weeks to be POTUS and do the vital work of pardoning President Trump for all federal crimes.
See, it's not at all clear that a POTUS can pardon him-/herself. Even the current SCOTUS might nix that. So President Trump would need a pardon from another president.

Trump had four years to get us out of Afghanistan.
Instead of getting it done himself, he negotiated a terrible deal which excluded the Afghan government. When the deal was implemented, the Afghan government collapsed, the Afghan Army gave up all their weapons, and the Taliban took total control of the country.
If I were in Ukraine or anywhere else where war was raging, I sure wouldn't want Trump negotiating anything.

Covid isn’t Trump’s fault at all - his response was perfect. He let each state do what they want and supported freedom.

That is correct. But a president can not pardon for state crimes. A governor or state pardon board can only pardon for those crimes. Also - not sure on this - Ivy guy might know... but a president can not pardon one who has been impeached. But not sure how Trump's 2 acquittals would figure into that. I guess they would negate his 2 impeachments.
