This is a very good call. Some of the stuff was funny when they first made the page many years ago, particularly because we didn't really have much Aussie running content, but the last few years it's become incredibly cringe and yea he's collabed already with the OMTIU guy. Heapsgoodrunners also will never throw shade at MTC/For The Kudos people. The guy who runs the account has actually been interviewed on For the Kudos, and to no one's surprise, he doesn't even run much and is a total nerd.
I didn’t know anyone knew who was running that. MTC 8x1k and NB would make for such easy memes too.
There’s a running meme page on instagram that just made a song out of the DMs they received from an Olympian and I need to know who the Olympian is if true as it’s unhinged 😂heapsgoodrunners
If I had to guess I would say those DMs were from Mo Katir
Rory Leanord with another DNF at sub 13 Finland Continental meet. Maybe Team Makou might not of been the isssue
Who'd have thunk it.
And Team Makou's Scott Beattie 13:29 for 10th, rather disappointing.
Why would either of them travel to Finland when there was a BMC 5000 won in 13:29 in Birmingham on Saturday... when both are clearly not at the standard of the Continental meet.
Funny how the moment a Youtuber goes from "Here is me doing my best to get faster, come along my struggle" to "Here are my top 5 things you should do to get faster", you know it's just a matter of time, before the shilling begins

tbf, Beattie did go through 3km in about 7:52 - dropped back pretty drastically as dissapeared off the stream, has never got close to replicating his performances from the Boston track over 5km and would expect far better after a good 27:25 10km on track this year. must have more in him and at least he finished. also very strange that Nick Griggs DNF at the bell and Darragh McElhinny also DNF with about 800m to go when both were on for 13:05-13:10
Rory "DNF" Leonard thoroughly living up to his reputation. yet another DNF for the collection and he didnt go off to hard. was out of shot at the rear of the field from the off. the guy really needs to focus on competing at a domestic level in BMCs. i dont know what he was hoping to achieve going here, he is not going to run at euro qualifying time of 13:08 and is not even close to being a 13:20 man. hard to see what difference any coach can make to a man with his fragile mentality of consistent DNFs
was surprised to see the gua sha tool make an appearance. i thought they were exclusively used by asian women to 'drain their lymphatic system' (face massage). i might try borrowing my partner's and give my glutes a good scraping.
Is RTJ washed beyond repair? He was making these jokey posts on strava about finally being back under 5 min/k etc etc and did a 70k week last week as his "comeback to running" and is obviously still not recovered and has only done one run this week (4k run today).
He is also getting feisty in his comments calling out his fans, but he also says that he cant run more than 4k without crippling pain. The high milage gimmick was great but I think its finally caught up with him and it might be a long time before we see him put together a proper training block together, and surely he has to train way smarter if he ever wants to get close to 2:10 with a working spine
A constantly injured athlete with the injuries getting more severe over time continues with the slogan train harder not smarter like an alcoholic with a failing liver encouraging binge drinking.
So what’s happened to the ‘Fastest fox’ podcast. Haven’t seen one in a while?!
How will we find out who the fastest fox is? Although I’m pretty sure the answer is Jamie Vardy.
Maybe Matt should do a new show with Laurence and call it ‘The most unhinged Fox’
Would be a tough one to call.
Matt said they had scheduling issues in his latest pod and that he hopes they can work together again in the future. Then he spent the rest of the pod mugging him off and calling him jealous of his lifestyle as an international criminal.
idk a month off for a back injury seems fair enough. what would you have him do?
That's my point is he doesn't seem to have taken a proper month off and has been continuing to do long cycles and then has gone straight back to a 70k week whilst still seemingly being in agonizing pain on even a 4k run.
Its not brave or smart to train through injury it just causes more and more issues further down the line which is why i question if he will ever be able to get back to the level needed for what he wants
I wonder about RTJ because I had a similar back injury that I kept trying to run through and it eventually ended my running. It doesn't seem good that it's still bothering him after a month off.
