I wasn’t woke up this morning by nice texts before practice in the weight room, but texts about this thread from my gf. And I’m about to handle it. In short stfu if you’re not posting about training.

@beatmycousin Bro, I’ve got nothing against you, the next part isn’t intended at you; it’s for anyone who asks that question; but two can play that game lol why are you getting into his business if you don’t know him? The next is for anyone bother’s my gf or precalc_runner:

1. Why does it matter whose snapchat he asks for? Are you his (no offense @precalc_runner; it’s just for an example) control freak adult or a douche bag high school know-it-all, hypocrite senior? Don’t bother choosing because right now you sound like you’re both of them. Mind your own business.

2. You’re ruining his thread or whatever it’s called that he started. Read the damn subject; if you can’t read it then get Siri to, because it sounds like she’s probably smarter than you. Oh that’s right: Training log and goals of a hs runner. It’s not nitpick and b1tch at the guy. If you aren’t commenting about training then stfu and don’t say anything because it’s turning into an aggressive teenage thread apparently. Why? 4. Idgaf who you think you are, but when you think about saying sh!t on here think about how many other threads have went this far and actually have a training log….. right probably like 1. They don’t exist for hockey and football. And if they do. It’s for discussing players. You should be happy they’re taking the initiative to write their training and not starting sh!t threads like I had to see when I was trying to find this thread when my gf texted me, before practice.

5. What is your problem? He can sc whoever the hell he wants. He is not on a leash. On top of that, this guy is a highly religious kid. Wtf are you pestering for? I think people mistake my gf and him for being too friendly. Well guess what he can ask her for his sc. Plenty of guys snap my girl. Do I suddenly nag about who’s snapping her? No. What are you trying to do make them all anti-social. She asked him if he could help her if she needed help with school work and that’s why he asked her for it. What is she going to do ask people who don’t know or students that can speak English and need to use a translator to ask to take a piss? Now everyone stfu and move on and away from here. Guys I ran a 5 mile race yesterday and I ran it in 30:57! never ran it before haha hope everyone's running is good! sorry about jake precalc_runner ahah i'll talk about my training

Whoops, thought "jakeherboyfriend" was fake at first, but alright, haha.

Anyways, today I ran about 6.5 mi at 8:30 but really felt hard to keep pace at start (it was 7:10, legs felt great, but for some reason I couldn't breathe very well even though all the smoke was gone) and ended up slowing down realizing it shouldn't be hard today, but then I finally warmed up I guess, ending with a 7:30 last mile. I hope my breathing will feel better tomorrow, my guess is that it's because I had a workout on Saturday and I was a little sick Sunday , but that's only all I can think of, even though I felt good today. Yesterday I had a 3xmile + 2x400 workout and I was really not feeling it, for some reason I'm still having trouble breathing ( even on today's easy run) but my times were as follows:

5:29, 6:51, 6:13, 71, 72

Now the first lap of mile one was at 86 so we had to make up for it in the other three, but the 800 was at 2:50 so we sorta killed the next 800 to catch up at around 2:29 and well, that just sucked on top of my breathing issue and so I started off the next mile at 85 and then I just couldn't hold the pace because I was just so exhausted for some reason (we had 3 minutes rest) and the rest was shorter than what I'm used to for mile repeats, but still, I don't know. My coach had me drop down to the top JV group because I just couldn't handle it yesterday and I just went out really easy and built up to hit the 6:13 ( so slow), but I'm pretty happy with my 400s because I just strides for 300m and sprinted the last 100m (destroyed top JV haha..) and felt fine after those. All in all, I'm guessing I just had a bad day and I'm just focusing on being ready for Saturday.

Today:

3 mi easy (probably about 8:15 pace)

Hey everyone practice isn't even over yet but guess what... The smoke is back, yay!!! So I'm biking for an hour and a half inside.. anyways, where our race is at on Saturday is pretty far away and the air quality is a lot better (still not great) so I should be able to race, but it probably won't be breakthrough speed. So Saturday my whole team was a little slow and that's partly because of all the smoke and not really being able to train as much, and partly just because this was our first race and we tend to do bad at the first one. I ran a 17:50 (3 mi) and I wasn't happy with that time (ran 17:59 last year and I'm in way better shape this year) but I was 6th on our varsity which felt good. The race went out at 2:37 ish for 800, then a 5:41 for the mile and then I never got other splits. I know the first 800 was too fast, this guy from one of our rival school slammed into my friend (totally on purpose) and I wasn't gonna let that go so I ran up and did the same to him because my friend is like super nice and I know it's all dumb and stuff but yeah. Anyways, our next race is Saturday and it's another 3 mile and I hope to do a lot better there. Also, at the meet out of about 15 schools, we got second only to a school that has about 3 - 4x the amount of kids, so I felt really good about that and we had 7 guys in front of our rival's top 4, so that was good too. How's everyone else doing?

Hey everyone! So, yesterday I ran about 6 mi @ 7:45 pace and that felt good but my shin ached a little and my quads just felt really tight and so I stretched a lot and I did a cool thing with my athletic trainer (at the school) and you take a cup and freeze water in it and you use that to rub out any sore muscles for about 5 minutes and it works GREAT, haha. Then today I was having a really crappy afternoon and ran the warm up in cargo shorts (didn't have time to change) and then switched to running shorts later, but here it is:

1.6 mi @ 6:30 warm up

Drills + Strides

(3 min rest between each rep)

400 @ 75

800 @ 2:45, 2:42, 2:41, 2:36, 2:32

400 @ 68

20 min cool down on bikes

So, I'll explain what happened a little. First off I just felt great while running the warm up and it was kinda crazy, but it's also sort of an estimate on pace. I started late and caught up to everyone fairly quickly (2 min delay ish) and so it was at least under 7, but most likely faster. Then the first 400 my coach said everyone is running a 75 and no faster (this is the varsity group he was talking to) and I hit that perfectly. Then he said run 2:55 for my 800s because of my race on Saturday but I said I could handle faster and so he said just stay consistent and don't get worse. As you can see it turned out alright and I averaged 2 seconds faster than the last 800 workout. Then the last 400 he said 75 again, but well, I'm a teenager so I just built up the whole thing getting faster every 100m. Then right after that, lightning struck and so we had to go inside for the cool down. (It had been raining and was really windy) So overall I'm very happy with my workout today. For the 800s I averaged 16:30 (5k) pace not including the 400s. I know that's not accurate at all for what I can actually run, probably way above 17 right now, but what do you guys think? My next race is a 3 mi on Saturday, so a prediction for that would be sweet too! Thanks for reading! How is everyone else doing?

hi precalc_runner sorry for not posting. my race went fine on staurday and i just found out my ferretin is lowish it is at 9 right now. what should i do to fix that? my hemoglobin is at 114 too. my shins have also been sore, i should try that freezing technique ahah on my muscles.

i think that atm you could probably be running 17: 15 on a medium course and possibly break 16:50 on an easier one . good luck with your race!
