The linking of Ryan Zimmerman to this story is interesting to me. Maybe not shocking given his injury troubles of late, but he's always seemed like a clean cut guy.

True.

Much of what was reported is being subtly reframed, intentionally or not, then using the reframed summary to deny what's being reported.

The report is very specific and tells a different story than "Manning used HGH."

The report is about the very easy access to PEDs, testing as theater, and no meaningful consequences to doping.

. That's what she now wants to know. So it certainly seems like AJAM wants to frame the conversation around whether Ashley got and used HGH in Florida not Peyton. So now AJAM wants Peyton to discuss his wife's medical needs. Who care is Ashley is using the drug. And if she is or if you're wife/gf/significant other is using a drug for off-label purposes would you want it out there. Probably not.

C'mon, who do you think was more in need of HGH - Ashley (the trophy wife) or Peyton (the injured athlete)?

NFL has to investigate this since they are handing out a lot of 4 game suspensions to lower-tier players.

I like how he takes a dig at Liam Collins by saying he's known to have committed fraudulent activity. This may be true, but talk about the pot and the kettle! Sly, by recanting his statement, is basically claiming that in the hidden video footage, he was just lying his balls off to Collins, a potential client, when he talked about all the athletes that used his stuff. So he's basically saying, "don't listen to that guy Collins - he's a liar! So am I, of course, but you should assume I'm telling the truth at the moment."

I was happy to hear several hosts (and former NFL players) on espn today saying that finally this may be the thing that leads to discussions on legalizing PEDs.

The FDA approval for the use of HGH is limited to a few conditions: as well as children with a growth-hormone deficiency and adults with growth-hormone deficiency due to rare pituitary tumors, there are just 2 other legal indications: HIV/AIDS muscle-wasting disease and short bowel syndrome.

And Section 333e of the Food and Drug Cosmetic Act states that HGH is authorized for these specific medical conditions, "but not for use for antiaging, body building, or athletic enhancement.

So as mentioned in the program, there is no legitimate reason for an anti-aging clinic to be supplying HGH to anyone.

Thanks for that. Somebody posted a clarification up above as well. It is well established now that HGH is regulated by the FDA in a way that other drugs are not, so that prescriving it for off-label uses such as anti-aging is potentially a problem.

Since the FDA does not have this authority generally over prescribing practices, I doubt they have any really effective way to monitor it. As rojo said earlier, it apparently is common practice in such anti-aging clinics. I am aware that there are some raids and places the FDA has taken enforcement action.

You must be new here. Why would they investigate one of their star players? That might affect their ratings.

You are reaching. There are better examples. Salazar has a legitimate need for testosterone (or are you claiming that he is lying about his condition?). You are saying Manning's wife does not have a need for HGH. This is more like Roger Clemens' cases where his wife had medications. Should Salazar have used it on his son? No, the stated reason seems silly and paranoid. And maybe he faces some problems for doing a little study even if he disclosed it and the son was a consenting adult.But are you now going to get into the business of checking the legitimate medications of every coach or an athlete's relatives? Should we check the legitimate medications of coaches like Renato Canova, Jack Daniels, etc. and spouses or parents of athletes? The issue here is that there are people on tape admitting to getting mess they do not need and a spouse who got medications she at it need.Maybe you should get back to not asking Paula any questions.

I re-watched it for the same reason. They never said Payton used it. All Sly said was they were shipping HGH to his wife at all these different locations.

Wow, just saw the Interview on NBC (Today show). The "journalist" had an agenda there too. The slant was not, mmm, let's get to the bottom of this, but mmm, how could we discredit this news...

The next logical question from NBC should have been:

"Why do you think that nobody ever tested positive for HGH in the NFL"

"What tests should be run by The NFL to test for HGH"

"Was that a common thing for the clinic to send drugs to relatives instead of the actual athlete"

Instead they said: "so you are not alleging that Manning was receiving the HGH and you have no proof of that the HGH was for Peyton. Is that correct?

I now have to boycott NBC too?

I'm sure that FOX News is happy to not be the only slanted news show anymore.
