But I get riled by "just saw this on twitter, so XXX or XXX is definitely ZZZ". Most of twitter is speculation, or people reporting rumours of rumours they thought they heard from someone. Unless there's a link to an article from a source I'd trust, don't believe everything you read on there.
And that's why the IAAF is smarter than everyone....they test samples of athletes from 10 years ago, having confirmed somehow that all 28 are magically NOT competing in Beijing, and this is the level playing field that people want?? You been hoodwinked, bamboozled, run-a-mok!
1)Lets not speak of the level of control that the IAAF/shoe companies have displayed here. why not do a mass test of 2012 now? and end it all clean sweep? could it be the massive amounts of money being kicked around in this sport by the elites? Perhaps sites like this that explode in participation when Gay/Gatlin battles Bolt, contribute to the GDP of the sport, and whats best for business is the bottom line.
2)Yes, Happy Day!! that these 28 have their day of reckoning!!, give back those medals now and hand them to the rightful owners!!!....just not the prize money...or the diamond league check....or the visa $50,000...or the money spent by the USATF on the coach, lodging, travel, training, doctors, or therapists. Yeah...those guys got what they deserved.

No, Abeylegesse wasn't withdrawn until after the IAAF announcement, and she seemed perfectly fine in Iten before the announcement. All the IAAF said was that none would be competing in Beijing; they never said that none were selected. There is a difference.

Also, Sylvia Kibet looks to get the bronze and Meseret Defar to move up to silver in the Beijing 5000m, while Shalane moves up to silver from bronze and Linet Masai moves up to bronze in the 10000m, because the paper says that Abeylegasse is likely to lose her two Beijing Olympics silvers as well. Being Ethiopian didn't make her suspect, but competing for Turkey did with its doping history.
