Yeah could be power walking, but I get the sense these guys are young and are not at all athletes in anyway nor power walkers.
Potentially gamers - basement dwellers. No fitness, no form, but not fat. So his running maybe be a canter sort of thing, heel toe - heel toe....the arm for sure indicates hurry.

NO the position of his arm indicated HURRY as in running, just not fast. My assumption about gamers/basement dwellers is possible. Not goths and couldn't be athletes doing this at a heralded marathon. SO I am assuming he is not running fast because he is not fit, but he is making the effort....
Enlarging the picture a lot makes it very clear that the suspect #2 is NOT the man by the two women, that is clear. THAT guy looks oriental, where suspect #2 appears brown, like East Indian/Persian/half black.

Of course it's possible. ANYTHING is possible at this point. And what on earth do goths have to do with it? Why would you even bring up "goths"? Plus although we'd all like to pretend it "couldn't" be runners, it easily "could be." I'd agree it's less likely.

In response to your earlier comment about not being able to see much of the guy behind the post -- you're definitely right, and there's no way to "prove" that it's the same guy. But bc of the black hood and, if you look closer to sidewalk level you can see he's wearing khaki cargo-style pants and shoes that look similar to black hat dude, I think it's quite likely him. Of course you can't see any of his head at all, so who knows. But I'm 100% sure it's not the guy in the background next to the woman. Unless he found time to buy an entirely new wardrobe and likely change race.
HOLD UP: what evidence do you have that suspect #2 ISN'T asian?? He's always had sunglasses on and the light/shade in the video makes complexion tough to tell.Asian and white skin tones have common shades.

I don't believe that "black hat guy" is the person obscured behind the red emergency pole. If you look closely to the right of the red pole you can see the hood on the jacket of the obscured person. The hood is black, and puffed out. If you look at the footage of "black hat guy" walking away (around 00:12-00:13 of the FBI's footage) you will see that his hood is gray and lays flat.

Orientals can be very white and very very dark too...so who knows. But I do see that the pant cuffs are not tucked in on the high-res photo....where are his sunglasses? Also, he seems to have a rounder face than the FBI images of suspect #2....not ruling anything out though.
