LEAST favorite city in the USA

Here are some good places: Minneapolis, Duluth MN, Spearfish SD and the rest of the Black Hills, Ashland OR and 25 limes north and south of it, La Crosse WI and the rest of the Missippi River Valley in Southern MN and Western WI, Louisville and Lexington KY are nice as well. Portland OR is cool.

I couldn't agree more. I spent a couple of days there for a conference last year, and I was excited to get out of my dump of a city I call home (Las Vegas). Well, the BBQ was awesome, but I have never been so underwhelmed. Beale street, the crown jewel of the city, was ok, but it was tiny and a lot of bums exploiting there children into doing street acts made us feel weird. Everything outside of Beale with he exception of a couple of neighborhoods, was really depressing. Driving past the U. Memphis football stadium...it was like a huge chunk of concrete in the middle of a landfill.

Going to Houston in a couple of weeks for a conference. Can't wait to check out the city...(I hear it sucks, too). I need a new profession with conferences in cool cities.

People are flat out creepy. They all wear jean shorts. They all breathe with their mouths open. Only redeeming quality is an arch....a freaking arch!

Seriously, disgusting people and nothing to offer.

Off the places I've spent time...Fargo, ND...the weather is horrible, the city floods, it's stupid flat, and there isn't much to do.

Erie, Pennsylvania. Worn-out Great Lakes port. Cold, cloudy. The malls by the highway have sucked the life out of the waterfront, which should be the city's only attraction. Every time I've woken up in Erie, I've thought "Where did I go wrong?" Even the natives call it "Dreary Erie."

It's not where you are, it's who you're with.

Take one of those cities and add wind, snow storms and clouds on 60% of the days.that's buffalo

Does Waterbury, Connecticut even count as a city anymore? That's a candidate. But Paterson, Elizabeth, and Camden, all in New Jersey, have to be in the running. I have never been to Gary, Indiana, however.
