Ohio also has the following locations with interesting pronunciations:

Bellfontaine (BELL-fountain, like the thing you drink from)

Cairo (CARE-oh)

Versailles (ver-SALES)

Milan (MILE-ann)

my hometown, Toledo

There's also Berlin (BURR-lin) and Russia (ROOSH-ee), but I think those towns changed pronunciation for political reasons in the 40s and 50s respectively.

anyone who's been to Mister J's Burger and Dawg on State north of Chicago cannot ever put Chicago on a list like this.

They also have WSCR, the Score, probably the best sports talk radio in the country. And then the skyline is far better than any other city, certainly more architecturally experimental, and the lakeshore is beautiful. Culture is excellent, a large number of fine museums (Art Institute, MCA, Field, ...), lots of excellent, cheap, experimental theater, the hot italian beef sandwich with peppers. And, my friend, don't forget da bears.

After reading all these posts the conclusion seems to be that almost all of the worst cities ever are in America.

Tucumcari and Gallup, New Mexico on route 66 are pretty bad.

Amarillo is indeed the pits. Speaking of all you can eat restaurants, did you eat at the Big Texan Steak Ranch in Amarillo?

If you're gonna live in Texas, Austin or San Antonio are the way to go.

Probably a tie betweeen Sodom and Gomorrah, although Philadelphia can't be far behind.

Why San Antonio? It's a blue collar town. The biggest white collar industry is probably the medical racket with its extensive hospitals and medical schools.

And the wienner is ROBSTOWN! Sucks dick, stink like, looks like, smells like, is shit!

Most lice infected community on the planet. Most inbreds in Texas. Robstown is the very best shit hole of America.
