Can you direct us to this research? Not that I don't believe you, but I would have a VERY difficult time changing my pre-race routine and just go to the starting line COLD, especially for a short race.
Thanks.
Dude he is giving you pointers, take them if they are useful to you.. heck henry rono a world class athlete just said he never stretched... he used hills to stretch his body, don't you understand that this man has alot of credibility on his soul to bash you out of your 20 min 5k time....
Henry Rono: the last comment you posted,is something I do...
While athletes are concentrating on stretching a gazelle is out there running!
I wonder how many horses or dogs stretch before a race ummmm...
Henry Rono thanks for all your contributions!
Hello HOPPER79-
You're right. I could have just ignored the post and decided on my own if I want to change the way I warm up for a race. However, because I'm always willing to learn, I'd like to read the latest research on any new discovery if it may be helpful. All I did was ask where I could find the article. Was that so bad that you had to chastise me for asking? It had nothing to do with Henry.
BTW, it really doesn't make any difference whether I'm a 30 or 14 minute 5k'er. Just so you know, I'm almost 55 and can run sub 18 on a good day. Not lately though, as I'm coming back from a very serious medical condition. Also, Henry knows who I am and he knows I certainly wasn't bashing him. If you reread my post, it was directed to "old timer."
Can we move on now?
