You don't "protect your space" by raising an arm and shoving the person in front of you.
Hull touched Hailu exactly once, when she put out her hand as she fell forward.
She prevented her own fall by putting her weight on the innocent person in front of her. I've done that in a mosh pit. Not allowed in track.

When someone is stumbling right in front of you, natural reflex is to extend your arm and hand. That was not a deliberate push down.

I like Hull but she is on the edge racing-wise. You can see her vs Nelly Chepchirchir last year. Again typically not DQ-worthy, but she is aggressive.
I don’t like the all blue USA jersey.
