Here is an example of one of Thoughtsleaders posts:
''I think what has to be said about Katir is the goalposts moved. Everyone at the time said: “wait until his rocket fuel in 2021 (pre-AIU RTP etc.) wears off.” Well, the truth is the guy is now the same guy he was in 2021, and possibly better. So this is no longer rocket fuel, it would have to be the garden variety doping everyone is accused of. Which again is fine, the guy did improve a lot. There are better rationalizations for his improvement than Ramzi ever had. He DID come from a situation with low resources, and then was able to upgrade as far as coaching (in vogue threshold training), facilities (training same high altitude place as Jakob) and so on. This was not a guy who was given a huge amount of support until 2020-21. I personally don’t know if he’s doping or not, but he has outlasted what many thought would occur with him when he burst onto the scene.''
And…he was busted for garden variety test evasion after 3 successful seasons at the top, which defied the idea that he was rocket fuel doping. The tampering indicates it was a scheme (facilitating microdosing, and avoiding “glowing” moments). Sure you’d want to share all the posts by you and others who wrote he’d never do anything relevant ever again after the spring of 2021? If you can find me apologizing ever for Katir after we learned of his missed tests I’d be pretty surprised.
It just proves he was doping not how he was doing it.
Of course he was not busted back then on your original post and good that you no longer support Katir
Both ThoughtsLeader and John Wesley Harding are biased towards African athletes as well. This shows up in their 'ranking lists', as well as their comments. For example, the time when George Mills was entered into the Zurich DL meet at the end of 2023, undeservedly according to him and others, and despite running a sub 3:31 and coming 4th, ThoughtsLeader claimed that 'any number of Kenyan 3:33/3:34 guys would have done the same or better' if given the same opportunity.

1) I'll see if Erik can cook up something like a leaderboard per post. Or at least to let you see how you are doing yourself. like I have no idea how many upvotes or downvotes I get. I never really look at it on individual post and there is no way for me to see it unless I crack the top 10.
2) i'm not sure if we want to publicly shame the downvoters.
Downvotes doesn't mean you are terrible poster, it could just mean you post something unpopular or controversial.
Having said that I've wondered if we should have relegation (and go against our policy to deal with problematic posts rather than posters) and in the case of the worst poster of the year ban them.
Ad 1) You could add that info to the name of the poster, just like the number of posts. Then when someone trolls a newbie, and already has 100 : 10000 votes that year, the newbie knows he is speaking to a troll.
Ad 2) That is inconsistent. You praise the leaders, but don't want to mention the losers because "it could just mean you post something unpopular or controversial" (again and again, all year long LOL).
Wouldn't the reverse then also be true for the leaders? Getting upvotes for saying popular stuff?
But in any case, most of us know who the worst trolls are. A handful of them were already named here.
On the plus side: if you ban the worst poster every year, the Terrible Ten will be gone by 2035. Theoretically, because they will just start with a new name / continue with their other names of course.
He blew away the competition in terms of upvotes and downvotes. He was the most upvoted poster and had 10x as many upvotes as downvotes.
This award doesn't have to go to person with the most netupvotes but if we're going off of net upvotes for the year the top 10 were 1) THOUGHTSLEADER 2) Josh Wesley Harding 3) rojo 4) Turo Towers XC 5) McRunnin 6) MattHatter 7) high school xc coach 8) Peach Pit 9) Salvitore Stitchmo 10) Kobbs Hessler
He posts generally very thoughtful posts on the forum, isn't afraid to start threads and is a great contributor to the LRC community. We've liked his stuff for a while so much so that we had him freelance for us as well.
Thoughtsleader was the guest on our Supporters Club podcast on Friday.
Hey Rojo, I got something to say about that! I know I’m only here for 3 months but I’m eyeing for that top spot. Rekrunner says there needs to be a more objective meter for such things.
Like a panel of judges composed of space-time specialist like me, Khamis and savant Coevett?
Obviously an American forum is going to upvote their own American posters when they also keep saying only sugary stuff about Shocker and Fishery isn’t it?
I don’t think it’s fair and if you want my honest opinion I would say Khamis or Coevett from Team GB or Armstrongliv from USA gets the nod ahead of thoughtleader.

Thoughtsleader lacks that extra special something in his comments. I’m not that excited and enthralled like a little baby opening his new Christmas toy present as when I read say Coevett or Khamis posts. I’m just nah, just average stuff anybody can write. And clearly whenever the conversation shifts to Shocker and Fishery, you will suddenly find him incapable of the slightest suspicion of them doping. But still I prefer him over rekrunner who is much worse with integrity and ethics, he can’t be trusted!
and what about me? I’m making waves on my own too as a newly joined physicist on this forum.

This has to be a troll post. Armstrongliv is one of top 5 worst posters with the worst takes on this site.

Be more intimate with Armstrongsliv, feel him and feel his spirit in his posts as we humans have that wireless subconscious ability to empathise and you will know that Armstrongliv is a savant like Coevett and Khamis. He has what it takes to win the top poster of the year award. The strong focus on clean sport is what Armstrongliv is all about. He is also very witty and persuasive. 🤗❤️
Actually, the opposite is true. The whole idea behind microdosing is that you never glow. Therefore a microdoser has no need to hide, ever.
Correct in theory.
I guess my Q would be of course how he managed to defy the system for over 2.5 seasons if he were hitting the drugs as hard as say Ramzi in this more test-heavy and surveillance-friendly era (ABP, OOC tests). We don't have transparency over missed tests, his ABP data, or if Spanish anti-doping shielded him (which I've seen alleged). That's kinda the problem with the system. If you miss a test, I've long proposed that you should then be forced to fund extra testing via fines and a punishment structure.
He didn't fade away and return to the supposed pre-doped level over the next two seasons where he got bronze/silver medals ran under 12:50 and 7:25. We don't know if that was through evading tests, microdosing, macrodosing, or just sheer luck. Maybe AIU officials can have the most informed POV on that, I wish we were privy to the info.
You just sound like doping denier rekrunner when you say all these. Just make it simple and easy, if you may be one of those who earlier can say that I’m Khamis just by detecting the particulars of my comments and posts and get away with it, why can’t you apply the same meter to Katir and just say he obviously doped and planned to doped just by missed tests and lies alone and also get away with it?? Pattern recognition theory was how you and many others believe I’m Khamis reincarnate so why can’t the same or similar pattern recognition be exploited in areas of human behaviour for doping. Even CIA’s Google AI does a better job than you in recognising patterns. 🫡

I am a fan of your posts Always have some solid info and feedback. I would have had you at Top 5.
I would make a category of posters with the most down votes lol. I mean come on Wejo let's ruin some confidence in people to start out 2025 lol 😂
This can be abused so I don’t look much into downvote and upvotes. I look for intelligence and substance in poster’s brain. Does he have that smarts? That X factor. Khamis has it, RFK has it, Coevett has it, Armstrongliv as well.
im not scared of downvotes, come on dude I’m a darn PHYSICIST! We seen it all in space and time, inside souls and outside. We have qualities that even Google AI doesn’t!👊👊

It would be great if you updated a leaderboard, week by week, of the overall leaders, as well as in specific categories such as racing, shoe tech, etc., and even non-running categories. In addition, you could list the top posters just for the individual time interval, ie., poster of the week, or poster of the month.

I know I'm the one who asked for it (because I, like many, like best/worst lists), but I think wejo's response #2 was pretty sensible. No need to create a forum where an internet pile on seems inevitable--this forum does that enough without an embossed invitation.
I still want to see the rate-based top-10, though...
