But they do race in the section?? Just in a different part of the section since Paterson, Riverbank, and Pitman are a part of Stanislus county, and that’s kind of its own thing within the SJS just like how the Sacramento/Yolo-Solano/Placer County area are their own big thing too
Giselle has raced once and it was at Woodward Park. I don't think anyone is looking at some random meet there for SJS rankings. The other girl didn't race at Paterson's only meet of the season. Don't expect to be in early season rankings if you haven't raced.
Like people forget about the 209 in SJS even though the fastest returning female athletes come from the 209/Stanislus county
Not sure the fastest of the mediocre SJS matters.
Now why do you have to do that? We had a good conversation going in this thread until you did that. I could say you aren't really coach or that you are some clipboard holder assistant of a B rated So Cal school but I wouldn't do that because it's not polite.

Sorry that you're offended, but clock don't lie, buddy. No need to attempt to minimize my success as a knee-jerk reaction to facts.

Yes I'm sure you are great at clinching that clipboard for the ones actually doing the coaching and I am sure you have never climbed those stairs onto that stage. I am also sure you aren't aware there were several SJS girls on the podium at State last year as there are every year.

Ok, since you keep trying to insult me, I'm just going to respond with more facts. I'm not trying to hate on them, but sharing the truth that you forced me to share.
There was NOT ONE SJS runner in the top 35 in the girls merge. No teams in the top 2 in any of their divisions, either.
Top SJS finishers at State in the 2024 merge: Delatorre 36th, Baxter 47, Fernandez 55.
The next best SJS runners who were leaders in their divisions finished 66, 72, 73, 101 in the merge.
If you want to tout Podiums, go ahead:
Division 1: None. Best SJS runner was 29th. Best team was 5th (Oak Ridge).
Div 2: 7th and 9th' (36th, 47th in merge)
Div 3: None. Best was 17th, which was 81st in merge.
Div 4: 4th, 9th. (4th in this race was 55th in the merge)
Div 5: None. Best was 28th.
Just the facts, buddy. I do hope they have a good year and push for some better times. There are a few coming back this year.
In 2023 - the top SJ girl (Jesse Redding) was 21st in the merge. Not sure how far I need to go back to find so success.
I know it's incredibly hard to see past your bias for Southern CA but to compare that one to any other it's obvious that there will be more success since that one section has about as many athletes as the other Sections combined and the schools are much larger. You are the one that started the insults not me. It wasn't needed. Try having a real conversation rather than throwing around anonymous insults for once (I know that's LR, I've been here a long time).
Buchanan Remains In National Championship Conversation With Four Returning From Third Place Squad By Doug Binder, DyeStat EditorGirls California PreviewOne year after making the podium at Nike Cross Nationals it is clear that...
Combe looked good at PR City, winning easily. She definitely slept through the 2nd mile, based on her splits. Can't blame her, it looked pretty dark out there.
Daily-Williams-Combe should be an interesting dynamic to watch through the year in California, and will be made more interesting with their Hoka, Brooks, and Nike backing, respectively. Makes for a fun rivalry, although the 3 of them appear to have great, supportive relationships with one another on social media. Daily and Williams will be teammates at Stanford next year while Combe heads to Arkansas.
PR City was too dark and not enough fencing to keep spectators from walking into the runners. Easy to twist your ankle too in the dark.
"Dailey-Williams-Combe-Summer" (there I corrected for you as Summer put down a 10:03 two miles. Summer will be at Woodbridge).

Yes, Summer Wilson is absolutely in that mix. Those 4 will go to NXN if they stay healthy. The question is, who will be #5?
As for other returners, Millie Bayles is returning from injury, and hopefully will be back to form and get an individual bid. Molly Sundgren was next best, but she'll go with her Buchanan team, so Isabella Ramirez and Carol Dye will fight for that spot, along with Sarkisian, Dasey and Hopkins.

I state facts and wisdom of the sport. No insults. The only bias is clearly yours, shown by your defensiveness. I'm clearly not biased towards So Cal when I picked Buchanan to win it all. If you can't look past my screen name and just read my post and absorb the data, I'm wasting my time with you.
One of us is emotional, defensive, and biased. The other is me. Factual, unbiased and accurate.
