Agreed. The gender fixation here is irrelevant. She's a female running in a women's event. She also happens to have made a huge jump in her level of performance as she nears thirty. That raises questions about how a top athlete can improve so much at that age when they were already highly trained in their mid twenties.
I don’t see you questioning the improvement of Emily Mackay - her progression is even more suspicious.
Nikki lives and trains in Flagstaff, which as we know is 9000ft of elevation. Look at Nico’s progression after living and training there. There’s something to be said about training and living at altitude and then coming down to sea level tapered.
Doesn't Nikki's girlfriend live and train in Flag too? She can barely break 10 in the steeple.

We know that Flagstaff's elevation is more like 6800 feet.

Are you really that stupid that you don’t think Nikki runs the nearby trails that are 9000+ ft? Anything above 5000ft is considered high elevation.
huh? She is competing in a woman's race and she says she isn't a woman. You can't have it both ways. I don't care what she is... But if she was born a woman and says she isn't a woman, she needs to race in a different race. How hard is that?
Nobody is born a woman. Ever hear of childhood?
Racing categories are based on biological sex not gender identity. How hard is that?
SO TRUE. So basically if Nikki DOESN'T considers herself a female, why the hell is she running against females?

MAKE IT MAKE SENSE, PLEASE!
Sorry, did I miss the non-binary category at the Olympic Trials? If there isn’t a race that fits their gender identity, seems perfectly reasonable and unremarkable that they would compete in the same category as their sex. By all means, keep shouting on the forums though.
It isn't really that hard, just a little google search could explain it for you. Nikki runs based on biology (sex) but identifies a different gender role.
Sex generally refers to an organism's biological sex, while gender usually refers to either social roles typically associated with the sex of a person (gender role) or personal identification of one's own gender based on their own personal sense of it (gender identity).
We all know this -- however it needs to be said that Nikki prefers that gender identity take preference over sex in sports competitions. Nikki is in favour of males who identify as women racing against females or biological women. That is the rub and it's fair to criticize her for this.
So she’s biological a female and she is running in a female race. So all the extra chatter is meaningless and doesn’t need to happen. She can say she’s a turtle and it doesn’t matter. She’s a female running in a female race. End of story. End of drama.
I’m sorry, but if I’m a woman racing against Nikki I’d be a bit offended because “they” don’t identify as my gender. Run in a non binary track meet if you really want to stand up for your pronoun.

...
You DIDN'T make it make sense. Nikki doesn't consider herself female, so regardless if there is a binary category in the Olympics...she doesn't connect with the female category. SO WHY enter into the female category if SHE DOESN'T CONSIDER herself a female or woman?
So she gets to be a hypocrite and say she stands up for THEIR rights but only when it's convenient for THEM? 🥱

You’re conflating biological sex and gender identity. They’re not the same. Biological sex is a physical category. Gender identity is a psychological category.
Nikki doesn’t identify as a woman. That’s about gender identity (psychological category).
Nikki doesn’t deny having a female body. That’s about biological sex (physical category).
Racing categories are based on biological sex (physical category) not gender identity. Nikki races in the appropriate biological sex physical category because Nikki has a female body. Nikki’s gender identity has nothing to do with it. Make sense?
So biologically is Nikki a female? Yes. So it's pronoun is rightfully she/her regardless of what Nikki personally considers herself.
END OF DISCUSSION. She put up too impressive of a performance to be stuck on this irrelevant gender topic.
So Nikki’s birth certificate says “Dominique”? Yes. So their name is rightfully Dominique regardless of what Nikki personally considers themselves. They’re altering reality by using a name that’s not what they were born as. It’s too hard and confusing for the announcers to use the name Nikki when their name is really Dominique. Nicknames have no place in the world of track and field. END OF DISCUSSION. They put up too impressive of a performance to be stuck on this irrelevant nickname topic.
