That's great when it was newsworthy and the story hadn't been hashed and rehashed. What is LRC adding to the conversation now by asking?
Well they could ask interesting questions. Of course Coleman would just lie or run out of the room when asked what drugs he used, and who else did it, and who organized and supplied it etc. But, those could work:
1) How many times did USADA call you on the phone during a test attempt?
2) How many times did USADA call you on the phone before a test attempt?
3) Are they still providing you with such phone calls?
4) How many tests have you missed before your ban, during your ban, and after your ban?
5) How many of your teammates are missing tests regularly?
6) Why don't you make your testing history public?
7) Do you think out-of-competition tests should stop?
8) Do you think the system should be more lenient?
The only thing I realize is that leftists are desperate to accuse everyone of being a racist, with slim to no evidence. Think about the evidence. One of LRC journalists asked uncomfortable questions of a runner who is black. Posters here found a runner who is white who Rojo has yet to ask awkward questions. That’s it. For this he is clearly pursuing a racist conspiracy to make black runners look bad, while doing his best to elevate all white runners. Seems very slim evidence to me.
It is this behavior that drives radicalism in right wingers. You will never win Rojo, or any other non leftist, to your side by calling them names.
It's been 4 years, he's answered the questions about 100 times by now. What benefit does continuing to ask every time do?
Just getting caught up on this thread.
i want to clear up one thing, Letsrun is not asking Coleman about the missed tests every time or hounding him about it. We do often mention it when we write about him.
To my knowledge Rojo hasn’t asked Coleman about the missed tests ban in years .
Coleman has made it clear now he doesn’t want to talk to anyone from Letsrun or do interviews with us standing there.
Before Millrose I was talking to Coleman. I started talking to him about not quite being back to where he was in the 100. I didn’t ask him about the missed tests. But I was curious what he did for training and if he felt not racing was what prevented him from being where he was previously in the 100. The perfect analogy is Gatlin who took 3 years to get back on podium. Why couldn’t they be there in year 1 or 2?
He said he didn’t want to talk about that. So I turned to 2024 and asked him about the Noah Lyles rivalry. He then walked away. Since then he hasn’t let anyone else from Letsrun be near him in an interview.
it would be like asking Shelby after a few years back and she not quite back to where she is if she felt like the lack of racing from her time off was still affecting her. If she says “I don’t want to talk about the time off” . No problem. Then I might ask her about Elle St Pierre and whether she thinks she can get to that level.
If she then walked off from the interview, Rojo and Jon would still try and join the media scrum at worlds with her.
The equivalent would be if she then just said she wasn’t going to speak if they were standing there.
Are we going to be prevented from being in the press conference room if there is one with him? ****
With Gjert it’s my understanding before the interview started it was established he was not going to talk about the legal charges or the situations with his family.
We have no problem respecting someone’s wishes on what they want to talk about
But we are still going to report on Gjert and his sons and the fact he is facing the charges and there is a rift with his sons.
Wejo you are countering hysterical slander with facts and reasoning. I respect you for that, and it’s all you can do. Nothing will convince the radical race baiters though.

When discussions about race and the racism that comes into play in those discussions are both rooted out permanently on letsrun, some of us will accept that there are no racial overtones.
Similarly, when we get to see a visible corporate structure with actual departmental checks and balances, some of us will view letsrun as journalism.
Right now, it just seems like paparazzi that plays favorites and alienates leaders in the sport.
Anyone who can afford their own trips could do that.
For the longest time, Runner's World and Men's Health were backed by an actual press company - Rodale Press. Is letsrun backed by a Press company even?

(1) Gaslighting. You ARE asking Coleman about the missed tests virtually every time you speak with him. You recorded videos of these interviews yourself and shared them on your YouTube channel
(2) “To my knowledge Rojo hasn’t asked Coleman about the missed tests ban in years.” Seriously? Read (1) YOU RECORDED IT
(3) “Coleman has made it clear now he doesn’t want to talk to anyone from Letsrun or do interviews with us standing there.” YEAH I WONDER WHY
(4) “It would be like asking Shelby after a few years back and she not quite back to where she is if she felt like the lack of racing from her time off was still affecting her.” You’ll never do this. You love Shelby
(5) “Are we going to be prevented from being in the press conference room if there is one with him?” God I hope so
(6) “With Gjert it’s my understanding before the interview started it was established he was not going to talk about the legal charges or the situations with his family.” You constantly violate the boundaries and requests of black athletes, why respect Gjert’s?

(8) “But we are still going to report on Gjert and his sons and the fact he is facing the charges and there is a rift with his sons.” Copying and pasting links to other people’s journalism is not reporting

I would agree with that, if letsrun wouldn't have deleted so many innocuous posts in this thread. That is quite telling.

I have no doubt about Coleman's ability. I don't believe rojo does either. What bothers rojo is the fact that Coleman's career is dictated by a lawyer.
