The splits were way way off but in absolute times I am shocked she beat Olemomoi by so much. She beat her by 20 seconds at SEC last year, this year by 46... that's a big gap. And Chmiel by 35 at nuttycombe.
The week PV won Nuttycombe, she was awarded co-runner of week for the SEC conference (while Tuohy was awarded runner of the week for the ACC conference.) The other half of the SEC award went to Olemomoi. I have no idea, but doubt this had much effect on PV’s run today. lol

I should clarify, we think similarly on the training aspect, but I don’t think one can conclude she is headed for a stress reaction before Natty’s.

It will be interesting to see what Lacctic comes up with. Nuttycombe is rated at 15:03 and last year's SEC at 15:00.

It looks like Asekol was about the same distance back at nutty -57s versus 54 here.
Do you have their rating from when she ran that even faster 6k last year? And/Or after the Texas race, the Arturios Invite(? name?)
Arturo Barrios was originally rated at 14:51, but then I think Lacctic updated the algo
Yep, algorithm was updated to change interpretation from “this is an average performance of someone with a 14:51 PR” to “this is equivalent to a 15:10” (average mid season day for a 14:51 person).
It’s all based on relative time, so other people under-performing bumps a score up. That being said, it’s a pretty big race - looks like Valby’s run was pretty historic.

Just like Bunnage at Nuttycombe if someone tries to go a little too fast it can cause problems in the 2nd half of the race, especially if it turns out to not be your best day.
Comparing times of AR and TN runners today vs PreNats 2 weeks ago. TN picked up their game for sure. Might give an idea of what time might be there in 3 weeks.

Rewatched the race and Valby was really pushing and grimacing the last 1k. Maybe racing hard is part of her training plan? She didn't need to work that hard to win.
