IF you were smarter and more intellectually honest, you would see she is talking about their mental health suffering due to bigots like you. The suicide argument is simply her dramatic way of illustrating this. You lied because she NEVER said suicide was the MAIN reason for her case that these kids should be allowed to play sports.

For the most part those who truly care about trans rights, but are just concerned about this carve out related to athletics, seem few in number on the LRC boards it seems. these boards either. We have plenty of posters that willfully use male pronouns to refer to trans female athletes, or call them guys, or label them narcissists or psychos. Lots of people using sexual predator imagery when referring to trans females in general. Hard not to conclude there is more trans hate and transphobia than just people concerned about the optimal application of Title IX as it pertains to this issue.

And I agree with this. Being mean for the sake of being mean helps no one. I don't believe in guilt by association, but I recognize that on the trans-in-sports issue, my position, which I've tried my best to think through carefully and apply my decades of experience in life and as a high school coach to, ends up being facially similar to the position held by extremist haters and bigots who see trans people and immediately oppose them on any issue without further thought. That requires me to very carefully spell out exactly what I think, in full nuance, without ever taking the easy road and upvoting or saying "this!" to a post by a hater or bigot, instead I must take the time to say what I fully think. I have to say that I think X when it comes to sports, but Y in regard to work, at school, etc. etc. etc., whereas the haters think X in all things.

Lenny, you know I’m much closer to your position than not, but sometimes the best solution may not the intellectually consistent one.
