Salazar might be able to save her.
Salazar might be able to save her.
I've been a fan of Hasay since I saw her line up at the OT in Hayward back in 08. I definitely believe she has her best potential left remaining to be untapped, and hope she reaches that point again. I wonder if she's ever taken some time off voluntarily. I think she'd really benefit from, like, three months of solid rest, as in no running. Just to get recentered, and then start to build up.

But, if she took time off what would she post about? Without posting, she completely loses her self identity and has WAY too much idle time on her hands. Are you suggesting that she get a job and make use of the fine education she received at the top notch UofO?

NIKE, send Nell Rojas as much gear and set her up with living expenses as you do Jordan Hasay. See what happens if Nell gets to swim with pool lagoon toys during her downtime...

Are you trying to make fun of a professional athlete for sponsored Instagram posts? Making money by posting an ad/paragraph that was written/made for her. You think that’s an insult?

This is the no talent hobby jogger way. Jealousy that a professional athlete (and a WOMAN at that!) can make more money in today's social media world than Mr. Hobby Jogger does at his day job. Hasay, Quigley, Ostrander, Coburn, etc. all get insulted on this board for having income streams other than shoe contracts and prize money.
It's like buying a stock that won't go up. You keep buying because one day you think it will pop huge.

her 8th grade mile time was faster than either alan webb or goucher at that age. her 7th grade mile time was among the best age group times for the distance in the world. her first marathon beat lydiard and snell with ease and most of american female history. on the path to everest there are dead bodies all around. she has been to an equivalent place. in distance running. where it is littered with people crippled by the attempt to get there. she might never get there again. or she might very well get there again. but the simple fact is she's playing a near impossible game and has much better odds at doing well there than most. including most olympians. there are people above her but, to say it is easier to get 3rd in boston than most olympic marathons , is that true? go dig up her time in the 2 mile from 9th or 10th grade and tell me how it could be that she doesnt have serious potential. look at what she did in chicago her first time there, and who was with her during that run. look at the splits jordan finished with and compare them to what brigid did the same race. and explain to me how much less than being an olympian what she did in that race was.
This is because the pre-pubescent female has the ideal body/frame for running. If they could somehow get little girls into wanting to run at world-class levels (like they do in gymnastics), few if any females past puberty would ever be able to compete. Hasay is a great runner but I think she's now past that time.

This seems... unlikely to be true. Girls who grow into women who still have, to be rather blunt, "boyish" bodies, would still dominate, like they do now. You really think the only reason eighth-grade girls aren't winning the Olympics is that they aren't training like world class athletes yet? I coach in a state where seventh-graders can run varsity, so I see younger girls come on, kill it until ninth grade, and then get slower, all the time, but apart from a few standout cases, the best HS girls are still usually the lucky 11th and 12th graders whose bodies didn't betray them. ("Betray" as regards to running only).

Together they are injured
it is actually kinda cool that Jordan, Koko and Alexa are all training together long after their early successes

People keep responding yet I dont know what was said.
My take is that Jordan has been relegated to non-elite.
I think she knew it was over after the last Olympic Trials. The blue toilet bowl cleanser promotion (in her mouth) was the second to last nail in the coffin. This past weekend's performance was the final.
She's done.

So, only Olympians should be sponsored? We should celebrate all sponsorship of athletes in T&F.
Your post is extremely petty and short-sighted imo.
This right here says it all. She deserves what she is offered and accepts.
