The fact that this thread is still active after 4 years supports the notion that provisional suspensions should not be public until a sanction is determined. An athlete that was quickly cleared based on objective evidence (thus voiding a missed test) is having this constantly brought up meanwhile there are probably 500 others that were on 2 missed tests. I don't know what constantly harping on about this is meant to do anyway - she was cleared, get over it!

They really do not care about the fallout. This is the difference: Regina Jacobs returned a positive test at the American trials in 1995. She wasn’t banned but simply quietly withdrew from the world championships, citing illness as I recall.
Move forward eleven years and the era of independent anti doping organisations and Gatlin, America’s Olympic 100m champion, is banned for a positive test administered in Kansas. If anyone were going to receive a favour, it would have been him.

The fact is that she didn't represent that "objective" evidence when asked in writing why she missed test 3 (in month 5). Only thereafter, they provisionally suspended her. She came up only later with this "objective evidence" (her friends said they didn't hear the doorbell) for some miraculous reason... which is why she was not "quickly cleared".

You literally made this up lol, she got a silver medal at worlds in 2023. In 2022 she had a grade 2 hamstring tear and still made the USAs final, then gave this interview

Yes she was cleared, but a Harvard graduate should be able to follow the rules.
Whereabouts are difficult on college athletes with the random travel and practice times. Not to mention she was going to Harvard and has to make up exams and things like that.
