By the way, anyone notice that Karissa Schweizer has gotten really fast? As in, is she being groomed to run the 1500m w/Shelby & Kate Grace at the Trials next year, moving Elise Cranny up to the 1500m?

BB's will be really loaded in the 1500m starting this fall when Sinclair Johnson/OK State joins the team.

This race didn't do anything to bring interest among the public. BTC is killing this sport.

Where tf are they supposed to race? They're rust busting for a potential late season with most of them not running their primary event. They're doing more for the sport than the solo races that we've seen and the athletes not competing that we haven't seen

please give BTC some credit for trying at least. as soon as sponsors come back i'm sure we'll resume great meets with domestic and foreign press corps staff like myself and colleages.

Also, BTC IG post today stated "inter-squad meets" planned for future, COVID permitting, suggesting something is being tossed around with OTC Elite/Eugene & Team Julian. Possibly even Brooks Beasts/Seattle.

KoKo, Engels, Hassan Mead, Hannah Green, others likely will be getting their opportunities very soon.

You're so entitled. They don't owe you anything, get over yourself.

I tend to agree with both of you. They don’t owe anyone anything. On the flip side, not broadcasting a high quality TT like this during a time when running fans are craving things to get excited about is just idiotic. BTC is free to do whatever they want but I suspect they turned a bunch of people who were previously supporters into neutral observers or even detractors. I don’t think the above is really debatable it just is what and it is and seems like it was easily avoidable.

Airlines are death traps. COVID-19 aerosols seep in your lungs after hours in the same cabin as others. They can't travel to the world class cities for meets. BTC is stuck in a cheap farm town affordable to non-revenue sports.

Grant's the rookie on the team, having joined exactly a year ago .

He ran one rather lousy race just before USATFs, then Jerry shut him down for the rest of the season.

Problems adjusting to higher mileage resulted in him missing a few weeks of BTC's winter camp in CO. Nonetheless, he pr'd in 7:39.99/3k at the BU Last Chance meet.

He's been healthy since, has adapted well to altitude training . . . and now he just reminded everyone how good he is.

Very impressive results all around - especially in the 5k.

Great run for Elise too. Puts her right around the Top 100 all-time in the 5000. She's had some injury setbacks throughout the years, but she is turning out pretty strong. Crazy to think she might be the best of the Cain/Baxter/Efraimson/Cranny/Rainsberger group that all graduated within a few years of one another back in the day.

According to Quigley's Instagram, they aren't allowed to film the race, but there is somebody filming the races to release at a later date.

It’s already been stated a live stream is not allowed through the host school, not because BTC doesn’t want to. Obviously this track is good/set up for official racing, otherwise they’d go to a track that did allow live stream. It’s because of Covid, they don’t want to give people the idea that anyone can use this track willy nilly. If you want confirmation, go call the school’s principal or the superintendent and ask them way. Get it thru ur thick skulls.
