Why not ask her?

So a lesson to all of us, DON'T F WITH KARMA.
The real lesson is to own your mistakes. People are very forgiving. They understand that people are weak and do dumb shlt because they've all done dumb shit. The reason a public acknowledgement and apology would have helped isn't about a thread on Letsrun (most people I know have never even heard of Letsrun) - it would have helped as it would have meant that Mike took the internal step of taking personal responsibility and acknowledgement of what he did was wrong. Carrying around a lie and making your life the defence of that lie (especially when everyone knows it is a lie), that's just a non-stop sinking ship. It defines who you are and there is never any getting out from under it. That's an endless marathon dragging you down. It would be much easier to put in the work to qualify for Boston than to endlessly live this lie.
Everyone knows you cheated, Mike. I have no idea what you think you will lose with an apology, but look at what you have lost by living with it. Look at what you have been charged with. Look at where you are now. I know this is a waste of time, but, how much longer do you want this lie to be your life?

Why would you say that when there is NO evidence? He hasn't posted anything. Link it or stop making crap up. Can't you leave the man alone?
Mikey, oh Mikey. Since you cheated at the Via marathon, this is what karma has wrought:
An arrest last year in a parking lot for being drunk and disorderly.
No more radio career
No more wedding deejay gigs
2 time Phillymag "biggest loser"
An arrest for punching a woman
An upcoming criminal trial next month
A part time karaoke gig that doesn't pay the bills
No solid income to support the family
Yep, your still in the game alright. Loser.

This all makes sense to us, but look at historical cheaters like Rosie Ruiz and Kip Litton. They cannot come to terms with themselves and never will.
How many times has Mike been asked to come clean?
Wonder if Barb or Via/Bart/Gerry think Mike is still innocent of cheating, given his character resume. Not a stretch to think what might not have happened if they had a pair among them.

He is not a part time karaoke dj anymore, that was pulled once he was arrested.

I stand corrected. That's even better. "No job" Mikey- you can't even afford a real lawyer either.
A little levity in today's breaking events. Oh...we haven't given up on Mike cheating at a future race to justify his 3:11.

Yes fifty. It seems like just yesterday he was celebrating that milestone at KB with a bunch of bar rats. How so much has changed in such a short period of time!
Mike has a new theme song (feel free to use when doing your next DJ gig out of the county jail)
I wonder if any of the news orgs will pick up this escalating story.
Not many people remember the Madam Principal letter outside of LR but a little memory jog along with a current events update would be an interesting development.

I would have thought that The Philadelphia Magazine are going to have nothing else in the next edition.

That's probably a safe bet, as well as locking him in for the 3-peat.
'Dad of the Year.'
Everything based on the one big lie.

chasethesteeple wrote:Victor told in a radio interview that there is an anonymous hero who checks every morning some police records to see if Mike has been arrested the night before.
I also know a couple of insiders are posting here: people from his neighborhood, ex colleagues and even a family member (not counting Cindy).
That is not accurate on several counts, and Victor will confirm it. I did not tell Victor that I checked police reports every morning to see if Rossi had been arrested the night before. What I said after his Chesney arrest was that I stumbled upon his arrest while checking court records, something I did not do every morning in fact, had only done once before. Court records are different from police reports. Courts records are open to anyone, police records are not and are not searchable I followed up with Victor on this factually incorrect course of events who admitted that he should have corrected the interviewer on this point as it was the interviewer who had jumped to this conclusion by something Victor had implied.
As for discovering the McGraw arrest and viciously punching a woman, this was not a case of checking records and finding another arrest. Instead, Rossi's FB apology and his fake admission of turning to alcohol due to his self-inflicted soap opera of cheating, lies and bullying raised questions and doubts about what prompted this apparent sudden realization, which was and is totally out of character for such a morally and ethically bankrupt individual.
As a result, recalling that there was a McGraw concert that he and his wife had attended, I checked the court records on a hunch not really thinking there would be anything (more of a case of just ruling something out), and much to my and others' surprise, he had been arrested, again. However, this time instead of criminal trespass, it was for simple assault, an escalation from his arrest just a little over a year prior. The fake FB apology and admission made sense, at least from the convoluted thinking of Rossi's perspective and scheming.
It turned out that this arrest was the reason for his sudden non-apology and admission on FB, not that he had a real, sudden realization that he needed to change. In fact, he made this FB statement just hours after being realeased from jail where he had been until his afternoon preliminary arraignment when he had to post bail and which resulted in the now infamous feminine hygiene-chin bandage mug shot. As a result, he tried to hide his arrest and assault by saying that he had turned to alcohol because of what others had done (rather than what he did by cheating, lying, and threatening and bullying anyone who dared asked or challenged him with legitimate questions and issues, taking a page from a much more famous cheater, Lance Armstrong) over the past 2.5 years. He made this statement on FB in attempt to gain support and sympathy from his feeble and gullible followers on FB, which seemed to initially work. He never thought the arrest would come out. However, once it did, he quickly threw aside what he said on FB about changing his past ways and leaving social media, quickly reverting back to what he knows best....using social media to attack, threaten and bully anyone and everyone by via (no pun intended) Twitter and LR. Make no mistake, he was on Twitter attacking former employers and others.
Realistically, today's preliminary hearing will likely not result in a trial, which will cause him to become more petulant and belligerent. He will once again proclaim he was found innocent, which will not be even remotely close to the truth or accurate. No matter what occurs, it will not and does not change that he unequivocally cheated at VIA and vehemently lied about it and lied about possessing proof he allegedly ran at VIA, as well as it does not change the fact that he has and continues to threaten, stalk and bully anyone, including women and children, who dare challenges him on it and other lies.
My apologies for the inaccurate description, I just wrote what I remembered from the radio interview.
I want to applaud you for checking the court records and discovering Mike's arrests. It would have been a shame if he had managed to hide his crimes, especially beating his own wife. Thank you for the truth!

It's really amazing but it's been posted hundreds of times. He could have made this all go away by doing the right thing. At this point, if it were me and I didn't cheat I think I'd admit to it just to get it over with. Btw I just got my notification of acceptance from Boston. Should I worry about being identified and threatened since I narrowed my ID down to one of 30,000?
And to think that all this started because he wanted to get a one up on a teacher at his kids school.
Where can you check the court records for arrests?
Can someone estimate the chance that he will go to jail? Will he be judged by a jury?
I hope he will be punished harshly, just an anger management course won't suffice anymore. Mike has a very long history of violence and now has even abused his own wife. I hope justice will finally be done!

At this point, it is hard to say what the penalty would be if he were to be found guilty. You can google Simple Assault in Pennsylvania to ascertain the maximum sentence, which I believe is two years. However, not knowing all the facts, etc., it is hard to tell/
As to the question about a jury, no this case is decided by a judge, there is no jury at this level.

The public documents were posted upthread.
Hard to say what the jail chances are since we don't have all the details of the arrest. But given the case was neither dismissed or dropped and proceeding to trial, I'd say no more than 50/50 at this point. He may try to get a plea bargain but hopefully the DA will play hardball with him given what was likely wife abuse.
I'm sure in the next 30 days more details will come to light and we'll have a better idea if that size 29"w orange jumpsuit will be Mike's daily romper.
