This thread was deleted by a volunteer moderator. I certainly don't want a thread this big deleted so I've restored. THat being said, this thread has served it's purpose. I've closed it to new posts.
We have a new 2024 vaccine thread here. New people don't need to try to wade through 20,000 posts to figure out what is going on.
In the latest UKHSA report, 89.17% of deaths over the past 4 weeks were vaccinated (63.98% were boosted). For the sake of comparison, 78% of the UK is vaccinated and 57% is boosted.
Same predictable pattern of zero accountability from the agenda pushers. Goalposts always moving. As I've stated before, if a worst case scenario arises (not saying it will) with extensive vaccine deaths in years down the road from blood clotting, cancers, heart and pulmonary issues and other ailments (these all will and have happened but the extent is unknown) , there will be no accountability and the institution will simply say, "we didn't know then, what we know now." That's what they've been saying and the game they've been playing all along. Sure people can "trust the experts," but at the end of the day, humans tend to fail with what they don't have prior experience in and are full of follies and mistakes. Now ask yourself, is your life and health really work the risk of common human error im the biggest science experiment in human history to make big pharma richer? Is your life a game? Are your kids, who aren't affected by covid, worth injecting experiential drugs that serve an institutional agenda? It's time to wake up.
More strong evidence that vaccines work amazingly well. Thank you for returning to this thread weekly to prove how right I am. The unvaccinated 80+ rate is ~4500/100k. Unvaxxed dying en mass due to antivaxx murderous propaganda.
Thankfully you and I understand how effective vaccines are!
Spoken like a true foot soldier for the industry. Lol. As you rearrange the deck chairs of the Titanic, you continue to defend these dangerous vaccines, and the fraud & corruption from the manufacturers & the CDC. The day of reckoning is coming!
Given the high incidence of breakthrough infections (both vaccinated and prior infections) from omicron, the thinking seems to be that "herd immunity" in the sense of covid eradication ala polio or the measles is never going to happen with covid.
Rather there will likely be periodic waves through the population as antibody immunity levels fade, but with severe outcome probability reduced by t cell immune response. That is, covid will become more like the flu, but it remains to be seen how often these waves occur and how severe are the outcomes of any particular variant's wave.
I'm having some problems with the quote function, but yes, that's what I was thinking as well. I was trying to avoid the "flu" word because it seems to cause a knee-jerk reaction on this thread.
Not a lie just a snap shot of the statistics 8 months ago. Of course the numbers have changed since then. The number will be totally different in another eight months--who cares.

Right now Omicron is roughly ~2X the flu IFR in highly vaxxed, highly prior-infected UK:
Two bits of good Covid news today in the UK.
First, adding another two weeks of ONS data means Covid’s infection fatality rate has now crossed below the "2x flu" line.
COVID is really bad. We have highly effective vaccines and have had waves of infections and still are losing many people. New therapies coming online may be enough to get us down to flu IFR.

Dishonest antivaxxers uninterested in good faith discussion and debate on vaccines care.

In the sense that covid seems likely to becomes a cyclic endemic disease that we tolerate at some level it's appropriate to compare it with the seasonal flu.
It's clear to date that the public health impacts of covid are at least an order of magnitude greater than the seasonal flu, so it's been inappropriate to compare the covid public health mitigation efforts to what is typical for the flu. That is, optional seasonal vaccines recommended to the most vulnerable and available to all, little in the way of physical measures, and tolerance of a few tens of thousands of deaths annually. I don't think anyone has a well constrained idea on what that's going to look like for covid going forward.

Brilliant, only 18 mos behind me in this conclusion. Though I'd say the waves are more seasonal than based on antibody immunity, I say this based on the entire history of this and every other virus.
"Biden fixed covid" - Harambe March 2021 and various points after.
I can only assume he also thinks he fixed Ukraine.

Biden did fix COVID for anyone not suicidally susceptible to antivaxx propaganda. Nobody competent disputes this.
I underestimated the number of morons in the US and those willing to amplify antivaxx propaganda. You, of course, are complicit in extending this pandemic. Congrats?

Also, I'm impressed at your brilliant conclusion that COVID was 'just the flu' 18 months ago, pre-vaccines, when it's IFR was >20X greater. Just fantastic reasoning ability.
This was correct pre-Delta and Omicron. It was not a lie. Shockingly, things change overtime. Boomers are completely hopeless.
Wait. What? You are always posting that Delta and Omicron changed nothing. That vaccines were still perfectly protective. Now you are saying what I've been saying for the past months: that delta and omicron passed by vaccines and the conversation changed. Now, it is almost impossible to distinguish someone your age that has been vaccinated from someone your age who has not been vaccinated (other than the vaccinated individual is more likely to be currently infected with COVID). Which is it?

To date covid hasn't been strictly seasonal. Rather the recent waves have corresponded to the emergence of new variants that were more contagious and/or better able to bypass existing immunities.

Pre-Delta, the US was enjoying real herd-immunity thanks to vaccination. This kept deaths and breakthrough infections very, very low. Only antivaxxers were dying. Delta and Omicron dramatically increased case rates in the US because they're so much more transmissible (and, for Omicron, more immune evasive). Vaccines still work very well against severe disease (and, for Delta, infection). Also, more people have been vaccinated, so base-rate errors are another thing that has changed, but you have demonstrated zero ability to understand what that is. Like, actually zero. It's been explained dozens of times but you seem incapable of understanding what a 'fraction' is.
Someone my age who gets COVID with the vaccine is far less likely to suffer serious disease or long-term post COVID effects. This has been documented repeatedly in serious scientific studies. Your dashboard prognosticating is vastly lower quality evidence, and, no matter how many times you repeat it (conveniently dropping examples where your pet theory has fallen apart -- Ontario anyone?), will not rise to such a standard.
You are so desperate you don't even try to hide your lies behind numbers.
Compelling rebuttal. I am sorry the truth hurts and the lie you've bought has been repeatedly exposed as such. Rather than updating your opinions (and celebrating all the lives saved by the vaccines). You just sit there, fuming that people aren't dying of COVID. Tragicomic.

Tragicomic is your idiocy. I am not against vaccination, dumbo.
I am against murderous fesrmongers like you.
And I know my rebuttal was compelling because what you wrote is a lie. If it is true, how about you provide compelling evidence that it was only unvaxxed dying.

I will be waiting...
So you admit the vaccines are safe and highly effective at preventing COVID deaths?
