This thread was deleted by a volunteer moderator. I certainly don't want a thread this big deleted so I've restored. THat being said, this thread has served it's purpose. I've closed it to new posts.
We have a new 2024 vaccine thread here. New people don't need to try to wade through 20,000 posts to figure out what is going on.
It's been said before and is worth reiterating... the unvaxxed Amish came through Covid just fine. In fact they were back up and running full throttle in their businesses and farms by May, 2020. There are around 400,000 Amish scattered throughout the States. That is a large sample. If there were mass disproportionate deaths among the Amish, . . .
Why do you think this is worth reiterating when you've been shown data that Amish certainly were dying during the covid waves of 2020-21 at about the rate one would expect?
A major study into the impact of the pandemic on Amish communities has found that Covid death rates among the traditionalist groups of citizens are 90 times lower than for the rest of America....

I don't expect this will stop you from reiterating again periodically, but what is it that you're really trying to accomplish?
LOL! "mass disproportionate deaths" Do you understand this? Yes, a few Amish died from Covid, but those numbers were not out of line with the wider vaxxed population. Again, if the Amish suffered *disproportionately* by being unvaxxed, the media would have been more gleeful than a lottery winner and reported on it ad nauseam.

Just to be clear your argument is: “the lack of evidence proves there is evidence to support my claim”
I found a transcript of this video. Out of Lancaster, PAs Amish population of 45,000, residents (Amish) in Lancaster could only name one person... Gideon King... who was diagnosed as dying from Covid. Steve Kirsch then offered a $2,500 reward on Twitter to anyone who could name more than 5 people in Lancaster who had died from covid. He only got one name... Gideon King.
If you disagree, then provide a source that names more than 5 Amish in Lancaster that died from covid. If you can't provide data, then I'll go with one... Gideon King... 1 out of 45,000 in a community that did not mask, social distance, or vaccinate. It was also a community where people socialized at church, sang together, and took communion out of the same cup.

Kirsch has never one paid out one of his “bets” on Twitter. Nobody listens to him anymore.
The Amish died at the same rates, if not higher in late 2020 (before vax). COVID was deadly.
“Excess deaths” is a means to estimate the lethality of COVID-19 (directly and indirectly). Assessing “excess death” in closed religious communities provides information on how COVID-19 impacted these communities. We use ...
As an aside, is it really a surprise there isn’t much information about Amish healthcare stats on the internet? Am I the only one who sees the problem here?

😂
Iconic antivaxxer logic. Everything magically supports their view. Even the empty void.
I told my good friend to stop it with the damn boosters, but his primary care physician kept recommending them. What can I do? Next I saw him with a bottle of bud light watching Dr Anthony Fauci give a paid talk paid by smart people at what look like big pharma company I don’t like

Do you have any suggestions? I even emailed entire hospital my friend goes to a video of expert Dr John Campbell. I know the hospital janitors i spoke with in hallway are unvaxxed but I suspect the rest of them working there are all vaxxed except for 2-3 RNs. What else can I do?
Also, as a pure blood not wanting any blood from the vax, can I start an organization where we get only the unvax to donate blood, so it isn’t mixed in? I think I’ll be able to get a few in the hallways at the hospital to buy in. It will have to be separate from the evil American Red Cross organization I would think
How was Robert Malone and his company able to do pharmacology research? That is wayyyy out of the scope of an MD. Us pharmacists need to start standing up for our profession and telling these MDs they don't know jack sh*t about pharmacology/medicinal chemistry

Robert Malone is an American physician and biochemist. His early work focused on mRNA technology,[3] pharmaceuticals, and drug repurposing research.
Prior to studying medicine, Robert Malone studied computer science at Santa Barbara City College for two years acting as a teaching assistant in 1981.[2][8] He received his BS in biochemistry from the University of California, Davis in 1984, his MS in biology from the University of California, San Diego in 1988, and his MD from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in 1991.[9][10][11] He attended Harvard Medical School for a year-long postdoctoral studies program.[12] In the decade after earning his MD, Malone taught pathology at the University of California, Davis and at the University of Maryland
In the late 1980s, while a graduate student researcher at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies in San Diego, California, Malone conducted studies on messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) technology, discovering in what Nature has described as a landmark experiment that it was possible to transfer mRNA protected by a liposome into cultured cells to signal the information needed for the production of proteins.[3][13][4] With Philip Felgner, he performed experiments on the transfection of RNA into human, rat, mouse, Xenopus, and Drosophila cells, work which was published in 1989.[3][14] In 1990, he contributed to a paper with Jon A. Wolff, Dennis A. Carson, and others, which first suggested the possibility of synthesizing mRNA in a laboratory to trigger the production of a desired protein.[15] These studies are recognized as among the earliest steps towards mRNA vaccine development.[
