KD can barely organize a single practice much less direct a whole program. They will have 1-2 stars at any given moment, but overall stink.
There is a reason he has never been a head coach.

Yeah he was so mean too. A coach should be nice and make practices enjoyable, give you options to run on your own time and do workouts on days you have a lighter class schedule. I never understood him being so hard on us.
Truth to that statement. There’s even a few D1 programs with no facilities and very little funding. You’d be better off coaching high school than coaching there.

Doubt Ohio State will ever have more than 1-2 stars at a time. Thats the type of school that attracts more kids that just want to wear the gear. Most of the gritty kids are going to other big ten schools in the area.
Don’t know how unorganized KD is but I could see that happening because he is so high energy / maybe losing focus. However what he may lack in that area he more than makes up with his energy and presence.
All he has to do is hire people around him that are organized or any other skills he lacks. Not that hard to do.

You’re right about what Cal assistants make. Student service positions on campus make way more than they do.
However, highly organized assistants thirsty for a crack at one of the best public universities in the country and in the PAC 12 is NOT hard to come by.
I’m not going anywhere....I’ll be at EIU next year
