CDC just corrected their numbers on the number of covid-19 cases in Florida. All new numbers are going to the White House. The CDC admitted that they were adding in Pneumonia and Flu cases (as well as any death with anyone who had the antibodies to any coronavirus which includes the common cold) to the covid-19 numbers. 90,000 infections just became 11,000, a drop of 79,000 covid-19 cases.

So, now that Trump has said hospitals are to report numbers to WH instead of the CDC, they came out & said they made a mistake in FL and they've been counting pneumonia and flu as covid, dropping their # from approx 90,000 to 11,000.

When trends start with this disease they go for a long time.

Pretty much all the trends I'm looking at are going the wrong way, have been going the wrong way for many weeks and don't show signs of changing.

All 7 day rolling average of daily deaths.

World: New cyclical high, worst since May 8.

US: New cyclical high, worst since June 9

FL: Worst ever

AZ: Worst ever

TX: 2nd worst ever

CA: Seems to be plateauing. Would be interesting if the one blue problem state is able to fix this before the red states.

Add the four problem states together and the rolling 7 day average is a an new all time worst, up around 24% over ONE WEEK AGO.

If I have time I'll build a 7 day average for GA...they had a very bad day yesterday.

Your source looks at cases...I deliberately don't look at cases - the issues there are too complex for me to understand them. Death data is more clear...although not completely of course.
