Definitely with you on Tennessee. Beth Alford Sullivan made a mistake in losing Tim Hall. Plus you know how Tennessee is when it comes to giving people the axe but BAS might be safe with her contract.

Same with Memphis losing Miles Smith.

I see your point on Clemson and Ole Miss as well. They are definitely not where they were or where they should be but could be in the rebuilding stage that all programs go through. Hopefully they’ll get a chance to get back in the mix.

Why do you say Memphis? The men finished second indoor/outdoor in 2018 at the Conference Championship. They had a national outdoor champion in the discus for the men and their Javelin thrower was 5th. This year they finished 3rd indoors at Conference with two All Americans indoors ..outdoors they had the 4x 100 , Steeplechase and a guy All American in the

100m. The women finished 4 th with three All Americans.

Explain? Why should that staff be fired?

You are correct. Memphis did not beat Huston. With that said 99.9 percent of all coaching staffs should be fired.

Houston

What Memphis needs is better support (I get it, who doesn't?). They have tons of great athletes and they do compete at a high level. The coaching pay and ability to retain, is as bad as it gets. They have the ability to be a really good national scoring team, and fighting for conference trophy finishes with Houston and Wichita State.

They will never win unless there are coaching changes for those 3 clubs. So am AD could be in his right mind to fire a perpetual non winner. Happens all the time in football or basketball. Why should our sport be any different?

The coaching staff is good. Want a winner, fund a winner. Happens all the time in, well, everything... especially football and basketball.

If they routinely get good athletes but don’t win that is a leadership issue. The program is focused on the wrong things. Termination is warranted. Getting third and second is ok. But eventually you need someone to win the damn thing. And they ain’t doing it.

WTF! Are you talking about child! Your comparing our sport in the same light regarding expectations with Football and Basketball at the D I level. The millionaire club...one and done club....BB HC offices that are furnished penthouses.

Not should be but could be. The turnover in our sport based on success is far too low.

Ole Miss registering zero points on both sides is bad. I would be very concerned if I were them.

You have no idea what you’re talking about do you.

What have you done for me lately? That program hasn’t won a conference title since 2007 by the looks of things. It seems like the turnover for assistants is at least every year, if not more. The only person who has stayed is the HC, does that tell you anything? They had a national champ last year and this year they scored exactly zero points at NC’s. Time for a change for sure.

KD to Cal is a possible! Offer it out. Would be great move on both ends.

If miss state was smart you think they would go after Houston or NCAT coaching staffs. But would assume not.
