Sorry to go against the trashing of her looks but I think she is attractive and has a nice body (ignoring the posed stuff). This does not in any way support the idea that the Treadmill record was achieved or the 53 long runs of arbitrary length.

The idea that anyone is "body-shaming" is ridiculous, when people observe that she does not look like an elite ultrarunner this is a compliment, who would want to look like these people (of either sex) ? Idiots who don't run often claim that "running prematurely ages people" - if they were talking about elite ultrarunners I could kind of see their point.

I don't know where the 28 pound weight loss fits into the above, it is clearly fiction unless it is a sum of water loss which of course is nothing to do with losing 28 pounds in the generally accepted sense.

Some of us have higher standards for women than you do apparently.

Also, if she had lost 28 pounds water weight or otherwise, she would have needed to be hospitalized. There is no possible way she lost 28 pounds of anything, just as she didn't run 520 miles, and just as she didn't run 53 marathons consecutively. None of it is true.

She's blagged another bunch of fools into sponsoring her.

"creating training plans,". Who on earth would value a training plan thrown together by this attention seeking nobody?

I'd be very interested to see the quality of the training plans.

Also, for someone described as a professional runner there isn't an awful lot of running going on despite all of the social media posts.

For a 'world record claiming', multiday, ultra athlete I see ZERO evidence of her running anywhere in any of her recent social media posts. How on earth anyone actually believes that she can break a world record that is held by a true world-class, multiday, professional athlete is beyond me. At best she is a happy, hobby jogger...but one the ain't is a world-class, multiday, ultra runner.

She's clearly 'selfie' obsessed. She posts more selfies than my teenage daughter!!!

Does anyone know where we can see her running data? I've trawled through all the usual run / race logging sites and can't find anything pertaining to the 53 marathons in 53 days. Without the supporting data it is very difficult to believe in her claim that she actually ran 53 marathons. My gut feeling is she did 53 consecutive days of long runs, some were full marathon distance, some weren't.

There doesn't seem to be any data publicly available. If you dare ask for it you will be labelled as a nasty troll.

Most social media savvy runners I know aren't backwards in coming forwards when it comes to telling everyone about their latest run.

That's a very generous assumption. I wouldn't even have said that.

Without any supporting evidence all we know is that she claims she ran 53 marathons on 53 consecutive days. Remember, she also claimed to be doing some astronomical mileage in her training for the WR attempt and she also claimed to of ran some fast 10K's near the end of the WR attempt to get her back on track and that she lost two stone in weight during the WR attempt.

The only thing we know to be true is that there is no evidence to support any of those claims.

I know they read this forum so I'm asking Amy and the 53 Foundation to release all supporting data to the public or, if you don't have the data anymore then why not run one of the many multiday ultra events in the UK? If you are a truly a runner who is capable of running 521 miles in 7 days then your running pedigree will shine through, I will be your biggest supporter and will happily eat a huge slice of humble pie. Without the evidence or subsequent race performances I find it hard to believe your claims.

How on earth can any runner on social media pay any attention when she doesn't share her running data on Strava (or some less popular platform like Endomondo)? I'm certainly not saying that runners must be on Strava, but those who post to social media invariably are. Except Amy.

Clearly her SM followers are not runners and neither is she.

She said she ran 350 miles per week. She's full of shite.

Oooooooooooooooooo, I'm soooooooooooooooooooo excited that she's sooooooooooooooooooooooo excited about ripping off more gullible unsuspecting punters.

Here, from the mouth of a believer, we have a small confirmation of why ultra cheating is widespread, and why so many are willing to believe the lies.

Lisa understands that to be a REAL professional athlete you need an ultimate level of fitness and weight is vital. However, she let's on that she does not view Amy as a true professional athlete, and believes her task does not require an ultimate fitness level, only some "mental tenacity".

I find it comforting, in a way, that they don't think Amy is an elite athlete. They just way under appreciate the physical requirements needed to complete the task.

I don't get the selfies. She looks like she could eat corn through a picket fence. Maybe she has low self esteem and the comments boost her up? She should look into therapy and being honest, first with herself. Then, later, with companies she has maligned and the sponsors she's ripped off.

Next up - Appalachian Trail record.

Someone should get in touch with Idealfit UK and explain what happened at Skins as a result of the Rob Young charade. Companies should really check out the credentials of stunt runners before striking up a relationship with them.

I'm not sure that 'IdealFit UK' would be even slightly bothered...she has a reasonable chunk of social media sheep following her, she young(ish), has the 'girl next door' looks etc.

Of course, how could I forget that the average Letsrunner runs 5K in 14:30, earns 250K per year and has a supermodel girlfriend.

I also didn't say she lost 28 pounds in water weight in one go, that would make no sense. I am guesssing they estimated how much she was drinking and made a big deal of this completely ordinary water replacement.
