LRC announces new 7-day treadmill WR (with typo of only 520 miles instead of 521), but notes Guinness for some reason DQ'd it on a technicality. There follows much libel and personal attacks against the new record holder (to be confirmed), with no new real information, except for a petition (change.org) for Guinness to accept the record.

Some say that Guinness (an Irish beer company) shouldn't be in charge of officializing treadmill records in the first place. For some reason, LRC argues the alternative is for some imaginary "ultra running community" to oversee it. Why not just let the fans vote?

There's also been some talk of Amy's new projects, especially as she had 530 miles as her treadmill goal, and came up short.

The thread will likely keep on running too, as these people addicted to attention never go away when busted, they just create another scam for attention and money.

The reason the thread didn't quickly die is because a bit of digging revealed what she had also been up to.

Pretended to have run 53 marathons in 53 days and set up her own charity with family members as trustees.

Made quite a lot of money claiming she ran these marathons and now her and the boyfriend make a living off this charity. They have no other jobs.

There is no watch data to back the claims she ran these marathons.

They have set up a funded lifestyle to get an income and attention and lots of people get fooled by these scammers.

I feel sorry for Sandra.

I would hate to have done all the physical and mental preparation required for something like this only to find out a few days before you're due to begin that the person you entrusted with logistics is completely effing useless.

No, she's homely. When she's all done up for her glamour shots, she's passable, but in general I would say she falls on the side of unattractive.

Re your last point, she could do with both a bit more running and a bit more reading, but I doubt either will happen.

Lisa Nichols I guess what I mean is this ... Thinking there should be any 'shape' or 'weight' for a runner, I get it if you're a professional athlete then of course being at your ultimate level of fitness weight etc is vital.

Amy is of course a fitness professional who defines what she can do and then defies anyone who doubts what she can do. Body size, shape, weight is kind of irrelevant if you have the mental tenacity to run on a treadmill for a week, or 53 marathons consecutively.
